Michael, TJ, and Jaws all agree....

Wow, Super Bowl talk. Amazing. Last year we were clamoring for Hensen to be given playing time.

I think it's abit premature for SB talk. We have 6 tough games left and we can easily lose all of them. Remember 2003? We were 8-3 going into Thanksgiving. Finished the season 10-6 and got blown out in the playoffs.

Let's hope we learned our lesson.

I do not see the Cowboys winning the Super Bowl this year. In fact I do think the NFC will win this year, Colts, Steelers and the AFC in general seem to be better this year than the NFC.
Sure I could be the ultimate homer like the Foreskins fans are and predict we will win the whole thing but we are not there yet.
You have to look objectively at our weaknesses and work on them. I do think that we made big steps in the right direction this year and if we have another good off season next year could be huge. Curly

We have to take it year by year. We can't pat ourselves on the back and prepare to contend for next year. Anything can happen, and it's easier to take a step back then a step forward.

We need to push this season as far as it'll go. We may be premature for the Super Bowl, but then again, who really is a contender at this point?

I have to think this is our year. We HAVE to do it NOW. We may not have a chance again next year.

Yeah, but Jackson also agreed that each NFC team with a winning record (including the Skins) can win the Superbowl, so I'm not sure how much "analysis" there was in that quote.

Yeah, but it's the truth. The NFC is weak again. I know a few guys were talking about how the NFC has matched the AFC again, but I don't see it. I think not only Indy, but Denver, Cincy and Pitt could run over NFC teams right now. I'd really hate to face the Chargers now. I'm glad we met them in week one when they really showed Antonio Gates! ;)

The NFC is like it was two years ago when the Panthers came out of nowhere to it. Any team that gets hot at the right team, no matter last season's record, is game. The AFC has been trying to knock a giant down for a few years.

We can only hope the Colts lose in the playoffs, giving whoever wins the NFC at least a glimmer of hope. None of the other AFC teams are unbeatable. At this point it comes down to staying healthy and taking care of the ball. We are very fortunate to have Henry coming back - his loss would have been a critical blow to this defense. Also being able to resign Cundiff is HUGE in my opinion - that alone will probably win us at least one game we would otherwise have lost down the stretch.
We have a coach who knows how to manage games. We have a QB who SHOULD know how to manage games. We have an excellent young defense. We have some good possession receivers, and Crayton will probably be back for the playoff run. We have as good a chance as anyone in this division, and if we can get the first or second seed i think our chances improve dramatically.

Personally I think the NFC is catching up to the AFC. In matchups between the AFC and NFC this year the record is 20-20

You have the record of +.500 NFC vs. +.500 AFC? Curious what it is. Giants are supposedly the highest powered offense in the NFC and they're nothing compared to the Colts or Bengals. Pitt is one of those teams that will overpower you. I think the NFC's main strength is defense what with teams like the Bears, Buccs and Cowboys. And we all know the old saying about defense.

I agree with you on the Colts and somewhat with the Bengals but other than that NFC has held their own with the AFC

Ill sell all my Marcellus Wiley trading cards if a 4th round rookie QB leds them to the superbowl.

Yea, greatD, but you got to scroe some points. What happens when theres 8 or 9 in the box stopping T-Jones?

Thomas is injured and not playing......No?

...Back to the original post that started this thread.

They were asked if the Cowboys could MAKE IT to the SB, not WIN the SB.
They all said yes, but then again they said yes to every other NFC team that's in contention. Wasn't that big of a deal.

They can't go wrong then can they? LOL

Broncos will jump out to a 21 - 3 lead at half time, Cowboys will come back in the 2nd half to make the score in the 4th quarter 28 - 24.

at the end of the 4th quarter Drew Bledsoe will throw the ball while being hit by Trevor Pryce, causing the ball to float in the air, at this time John Lynch will intercept the pass and end the game.

This is going to be a great game,

NON-homer prediction- Broncos 28 Cowboys 24

*Jake keeps his no interception streak alive*
