Motor has on/off switch, which is too often in the off position.

Please stop saying 3tech. It just reminds me of overpaying for T Crawford.

IDK, all I see is him taking games over... watch him play against Wisconsin and Notre Dame, 2 of the best OLs in the country, and NO ONE could block him all game long

That video is best watched with the sound turned off. It is like listening to a Daym Drops YouTube review without the food and a lot less charming.

Probably a good guy to bring in. A lot say if he plays to his potential he could be the best lineman in draft. It is a big IF though otherwise he would be long gone by 28. Bring him in and spend time with him to see if he is a guy you could get the most out of. The answer is probably no but if he came in with his own nickname.....

I will say Jerry likes to gamble but Garrett is not a coach who tends to get the most out of the players with questionable work ethic or off the field concerns. Jimmy was great at it but those players don't fit with jason at most times.

This is a surprise,I would have thought he would not fit the mould of a high motor RKG types we like,I really dont know if he would even fall to us at 28.I remember Mkendichi(sp) last year had similar effort questions last year and he ended up being benched by Arizona.

I like this guys breakdown on him as well, very detailed and honest

At his best, he looks like David Irving.

Just don't see what having two of them and having to figure out how to make them consistent would work.

Marinelli already has yet to figure out what to do with Irving and how to keep him motivated and active. His job would be so much easier with a self starter.

His two big questions are his motor and his heart, although those two things sorely betray his considerable size and talent. He's 6-6 and 275 lbs. McDowell's also reputed to be adept inside or on the edge, with plenty of explosiveness to be a good pass rusher. He's also widely considered a high-risk, high reward type. Really sounds like Jerry's kinda guy, doesn't it? He's a bigtime gambler's dream and enigma, all in one package.

Nah, Malik plays with much more power than Irving, and that's at only 20 years old. He's nearly 300 pounds.

When his head is screwed on right, McDowell is a good player - strong when he extends his arms, powerful hands, violent hitter. Against Notre Dame last year, he gave Quentin Nelson (likely top 15 pick next year), Sam Mustipher and Colin McGovern fits. He definitely geared it down as Michigan State's season went down the tubes, but the guy can play. Getting him at 28 would be a steal.

McDowell is an absolute beast at times. He said in the combine media interview that he had a bunch of nagging injuries that maybe he shouldn't have played through in 2016. Could either be an excuse or the truth and would explain why his motor wasn't always on. The coaches/scouts will have to determine where the truth lies in that. Makes sense that he's in for a visit because if we can get the best out of him consistently he will be a steal at 28. I don't care where the pressure comes from, we just need more of it.

If he played with the effort he showed in those early season games he'd go a long way to making the middle of this line premium. I'd also love to see the 3-man rush with him, Irving, and whoever on those long downs.
