Nice article from Mickey about how things have turned.
Mostly focused on the defense. As he states, 23 new players.

"This Parker exudes confidence. Man, he has these guys communicating, and the players have figured out they'd best know what's going on at all times in this defense, unlike last year when on too many snaps players seemed lost, busting coverages, missing assignments."

And as he says, things have been Quiet. No drama, no contract holdouts, no players starting on PUP. Well, now Hennessy is out for the year. But he meant players like Bland, Overshown, Revel.

And then there is this.
"There has been little need over these past several weeks for any front office interviews to be conducted, Jerry and Stephen Jones popping into an OTA practice a time or two."

With so much focus on the defense I hope the offense doesn't lack or struggle

Why would they?
There is no indication they should.

What may happen is less overall yards though.
If the defense lives up to expectations. Then they could have shorter fields to get into scoring positions and TD's.
Instead of driving 80 to 85 yards, they may only need to go 65 to 75 yards. Less at times if any turnovers produces short fields.
As for Aubrey, they may only need to gain 10 to 25 yards. :muttley:

Then we will get. The offense sucks, they are 18th in total yards. Pickens is not helping, run game sucks they average 60 YPG. I can see it now.

Will that equate to points you would think it would, hopefully we don't shoot ourselves in the foot! Scoring in the red zone too

All 11 starters are returning. Could you hope for something better?
Without stats in front of me I feel under Dak the offense for the most part is completely hovering top 10. Plus with the weapons if this offense struggles someone needs to get fired and quick.

I think blue can do some good things for this offense with that kind of speed!!
Yep he would certainly add another dimension to the offense, especially if they involve him in the passing game and get him the ball in space.

Most of us and the media assume the offense will be just as good as last year.
We all not what happens when you assume.
I hope it's better than it was, at least in the red zone.

Any concerns with the Mike lb? They keep rotating guys in for that role. I thought Winters was gonna assume it
And they probably will in TC. Not a concern they try different things at this point.
We will get the player X working with 1st team / green dot today, and the next day ot may be someone else.
At least for a few weeks.
I am sure there will be meltdowns over it.

So why do some make it feel it may not be what it was in 2026?
But yet many on here sing high praises for teams like the Rams, Seahawks, Packers as being better. When they did not do anything to improve their offense either. Not anymore than Dallas.

Heck some still slobber over the Eagles and they lost AJ Brown.

He counts Quinnen and Clark in with those 23 new players, which I wouldn't consider accurate since we had them last year under Eberflus when we also added Kenneth Murray Jr., Jack Sanborn, Kairr Elam, Payton Turner, Dante Fowler, Solomon Thomas, Donovan Ezeirauku, Shavon Revel, Jay Toia, Shemar James, etc.

Every time we switch coordinators because the defense wasn't good enough, we get a bunch of new guys. Whether we did a good job this time of identifying the right new guys to add is TBD.
