I wouldn't have a problem bringing in Kaepernick. I think he would easily beat out Kellen Moore for the backup job.
Exactly. We've already proven we are a circus. We might as well embrace it. Maybe Jerruh should show up to practice in an old B&B ring leader suit.

Not a chance in the world they'd bring that clown here.

I certainly hope not. As he would not last long, as he would never make it out of the stadium in one piece if he kneeled during the anthem. I think Jerry himself would lead the posse.

No argument from me.
The draft pick is sunk cost at this point.
Im looking forward only

I still have hope that it is worth it, but one year's worth of cheap labor on his contract has come and gone. Year two we could hit pay dirt, which is what everyone is hoping for, or we could be pissing off another year's worth of cheap labor on this contract. Which happens is anyone's guess. But the fact that it seems very much in doubt is not very comforting to this fan.

The problem is that the Cowboys really left us in the dark for no reason when it came to where Jaylon was at when he started his rehab, his own personal estimated timetable to get healthy, and where he is at now.

All we hear is that everything is great.

He may be well beyond where he was ever supposed to be at this point and we should all be thrilled or he may be further back then he should be. Who knows.

We are definitely over reacting to what anyone is saying after 1 day of practice.

The question now IMO is how good of a player can he be with having a foot that only works at 80% of it's capacity.

One thing is sure.....everything is just conjecture at this point. It wouldn't surprise me if he plays and sets the world on fire this year, or if he never plays a meaningful down in the NFL. It seems that wide open.

People really need to dial it back some.

I never weigh in this on topic, but its becoming silly.

The man had no firing of nerves not that long ago.
We should be thrilled its now at 80%:flagwave:

But some the expectations for this year are ludicrous.
Most likely, eventually, he'll be ok
Well said indeed, be happy with 80 ercent at this point !!!:bow::bow::bow::bow::bow::welcome:

frankly right now those that are claiming he will never play a meaningful down are way out of line and are all probably ones that HATED the pick in the first place.

Mickey: No one out there to watch practice with, come on guys, jahad thomas out with hamstring, so their thinking its not going to cure up, so i feel they think they need another body, needed another healthy body
No i assume that would be assumption if zeke gets supsended, could happen today or tomorrow or 6 months, way nfl is going on with their investigation
Morris looked good, fooling alot of guys
jaylon looked like he hasnt played in over a year, little slow on reaction decisions, was reported at times jaylon leg drags at times, thats jaylon is at 80 % now, still cant lift his leg normally
several players got jaylon sometimes on blocks, where he couldnt shed them, doubt he practices today, day off tomorrow for players
i thought dak was good, really sharp
morris looked good
david irving looked good, behind line of scrimmage making plays
asuzio made plays at rcb, and first start of practice
they think jordan can work by saturday but league may say he has to have 2 days of practice first
i think cowboys will look for a qb since dysert qb was lost for yr, announcers say no to kapernick, manziel,
get out here weather is beautiful here
Joe,

Thanks for posting these recaps. It's not an easy thing to do.

I think a majority of the people here want to see Jaylon become an all pro. Being concerned if he will ever even play is a legitimate concern.

I have been pretty optimistic about him, but the recent reports concern me. If Dr, Jerry Jones hadn't said he was better than they could have hoped for I would probably be looking for a cliff to jump off of now based on some of these reports.

I'll be surprised if he does not play a meaningful snap. I'm more concerned on his ability to be an elite player.

If you look at the entire world population, both Jaylon (Pre-Injury) and Hitchens are both in the 99 percentile in terms of ability to play LB in the NFL. It would only take a small reduction in ability for Jaylon to become Hitchens.

Wasn't that similar to where they rated Travis Frederick? And if Frederick was drafted 10th - 15th in the draft in hindsight no one would complain.

I think you're correct about that. I seem to recall them saying because of the 5th year option they preferred getting him in the 1st anyway.

Honestly, I wouldn't complain if Fred was drafted in the top 10. I wouldn't do it for a Guard but elite Centers are just so hard to find and rarely hit free agency. Martin is going to end up making a good bit more than Fred (I think) but if I could only have 1 of them on the team, it would be Fred.

They could put him on the field right now in a game and it would technically mean he actually played football in the NFL. But if he sucked it would mean that his play wasn't meaningful in my view. That's why I said that, but I agree with your assessment.

I'm not getting into the politics. Kaepernick is a better qb than Kellen Moore period. I want a guy that can come in and help this team win football games if Dak goes down.
