We could win a playoff game and still not get any farther than we got last year. Can we say 'advance to NFC Championship game' and meet in the middle?
:laugh2:

No. Cuz they need to get that monky off their back...

Do that and my expectations will rise with every win.

I want that monkey off our back--and stomped on. But I have to admit I'd be pretty bummed if we won a playoff game and still didn't make it any farther than we did last year.

I wouldn't be happy about it either. But I, and plenty of other folks, had all the confidence in the world in them last year and they stunk it up.

I hope they make it to the SB, but this team has to get over the hump, first, before I start saying SB or bust.

Did you really mean to type that? You are now and forever to be known as "The Fonz".

Are we loaded or what?

Can anyone stop us except ourselve?

Although the Giants player an exceptional game and almost mistake free, we did our part in stopping ourselves. So yeah, stopping ourselves is likely as or more important than our opponents given our talent.

I'd say that was about as true as it can be in the NFL.

Plus 2...

I don't know where all this "We SHOULD win the Superbowl" talk comes from. Hope for it, sure, but to expect it?

It's incredibly hard to win a SB. If any team should say they ought to win a SB this team has the talent for it, IMO.

I think the coach keeps talking about Hurd, Austin, and Stanback because he knows one of them must step up this year and contribute.
Hasn't Sam Hurd already stepped up?

19 receptions for 314 yards and 1 touchdown isn't too shabby when you look at the receiving options in front of Hurd. Jason Witten caught 96 passes, Terrell Owens snagged 81 receptions, Patrick Crayton hauled in 50 balls and the running backs combined for 67 completions.

I hope Hurd and Miles Austin are ready to contribute more, but even if they are, how many chances will they get?
