I'm not sure why we didn't get Hicks. That said, I am excited with what Turpin can bring, if used properly. Also, Dak seems to like the rookie we drafted.

that is not the point.
The coaches want to see if the players are lining up correctly. Making their assignments correctly. It doesn't matter who they are going against. Yes, at that point it seems the better players wins.
However, for any player no matter what string. Do your assignment correctly and you win against your opponent.
That is what the coaches are looking for.

I'm not talking about the coaches. I'm talking about the fans. There are people on here acting like Mukuamu is the second coming of Ed Reed based on his performance against back-ups. Thats the discussion.

I'll respect what the staff decides to do with or without Josh Ball. As fans, we can do nothing to overcome their decisions, anyway. I think we'd be doing less than what's best if we fail to acquire a capable backup OT, if Tyron is physically unable to perform in any regular season game. It's happened too many times that things go awry when he's out of the lineup. A good backup LT is a legitimate need. Let's hope we'll find one, before it's too late.
