T.O. will absolutely be back. He and Romo are developing a chemistry that might lead us back to the big dance. (not this year but hopefully next year)

He better not be back. He hurts just as much as he helps, and then there all the insane distractions on top of it. A new coach of any quality would not take the job with TO on-board. Jerry's learned his lesson. TO's one and done.

wanna place bets?

provided he doesn't turn into a 'real' distraction, just how he's acting now

That's a given. No way we go through another year of this non-stop horsecrap. Anyone know the cap implications when we set him free next March?.

Minimal. The contract is set up to give him large roster bonuses every year instead of one big SB when he signed. Cut him before the roster bonus is due and no cap hit.

Not ready to call whether he'll be back or not. He's obviously been a better player with Romo in there, drops and all. If he starts hanging on to some of these critical plays the drops may be forgotten.

My mid-season thought (I'm only capable of 1 at a time) is that we're not unlike virtually every other NFC team.. decidedly beatable in any given week.

Oh sure a couple are off to faster starts than others.. but big deal. Every year a team or 2 does that.. including ourselves in '03.

For every Cowboys fan thats disappointed right now, theres just as many feeling that way in about a dozen other NFC cities where hope springs eternal each year. And why not since it's a different freakin rep in the SB every year from that conference. And this year will be no different.

11) worst assistant coach---Zimmer...hands down one of the worst in football when it comes to pressuring QB's...alot of the big plays we've surrendered would have never happened if we had any semblence of a pass rush...we've played 8 games, take out the one fluke performance vs Washington in week 2 and we have 12 sacks in 7 games...

You almost did it, ALMOST made it through an entire post without bashing Zimmer.....

its not bashing, its pointing out the extremely obvious

he sux at creating pressure on defense

now take Wade Phillips for instance...yesterday they were missing their 3 top pass rushers (Foley, who's been out all yr, Merriman suspended and Phillips out hurt) and yet they still had 5 sacks, were all over the QB and forced two turnovers...thats good coaching

unless he ends up with 1400-1500 yds and 12-15 tds, I cant see any coach that would come here that would want to begin their tenure with him here...

I actually havent had any problems with him, I really thought he'd be awful in the lockerroom and split the team (and he still may) but so far he hasnt...I just dont think that any quality coach (say someone like Jeff Fisher) would want to take a chance that he can do it (behave) two years in a row

I don't think anyone has a chance to get rid of TO as long as JJ is here, and TO doesn't act up

Jerruh cant be too happy about Owens being pretty high on the blame list for blowing that game yesterday...that drop was huge

like I said, unless he really busts out...I really doubt he's here next yr

We get it. You like flashy defense. You like sacks and forced turnovers.

I, on the other hand, prefer keeping a team out of the endzone. Now, it's just a hunch I have, but if a team doesnt score, their chances of beating you go down somewhat.

Wades a good dude... pretty fair D coordinator too. Just hope your actual HC doesnt have a coronary and Wade gets promoted.

I actually enjoyed him as the HC here in Denver for those couple years.. made for good entertainment since I hate the Broncos anyway. Bout the only thing he ever mastered as the HC though was throwing up his arms to indicate a field goal had been made. Well he did it even if it actually was missed.. but yeah. ;)

well that'd be all well and good HH, except for that isnt the case with this defense this yr is it?

remind me again how many pts we gave up to Jacksonville, Philly, NYG and yesterday to Washington
