He had a peak?He peaked two years ago.

No he didn't. That was preventative. He didn't have to.I mean, he had to wear an ankle boot to go deep sea fishing.
There may be an injury clause in the contract. I know for a while some players refused to sign contracts. I think it was the late 90'so r early 2000's. They tried to put in a clause saying the players get half of their pay while injured.Depends on the settlement, but it should be considerably less then the contract.
He didn’t say it was high.He had a peak?
What did he need to prevent against? The boat rocking? He wasn't mountain climbing, he was just standing there fishing. No he didn't. That was preventative. He didn't have to.

Ant mound? He didn’t say it was high.
I think it depends on his play if it continues to devolve, they're not gonna have any choice. I would take a settlement before I sat on the bench for 3 years and was booed relentlessly, by the fanbase. He can retire a hero or leave as a mut. There may be an injury clause in the contract. Not sure if it was all players, or ones coming off injuries if they were prone to them.
If a player retires, they are required to repay part of their signing bonus. So there is no reason for Dak to retire.
LVE was not going to retire. So they released him, therefore he got his money they still owed him. Probably because they were not going to get an injury settlement.
I think they went through this with Ratliff also. Jerry ended up paying him the full amount.
I doubt Dak will take a settlement, nor Jerry will offer one. Jerry will feel Dak can return stronger and better. And Dak will say the same thing.
Wouldn't have to worry about if they had another a runningback. Is it a bit coincidental that over the past few weeks Jerry has said he doesn't want Dak running, and then when Dak makes his first big run of the season he comes up lame with a 'hamstring' injury soon afterwards?
Not to sound like I'm wearing a tin foil hat, but it makes you wonder if Jerry shut him down because he's been strongly against Dak running the ball.
I was watching Mahomes and I was liek man he just snakes through the rush and buys his receivers time and makes play after play. The particular nature of the injury tells me his scrambling moving pocket days are over . A drop back pocket QB who doesn’t get rid of the ball quickly prone to sacks is what Jerry paid 60 mill per yr for .
Not in line with what the league is going towards .
It’s imperative that Dak has a bellcow. And like Romo before him it works. Philly is winning this year again because of Barclay.Forget about Dak,we know that was a mistake paying him.
This is a little off topic but I just looked up the last time Dallas beat Green Bay. It was Zeek's rookie season and yes zeek had a pretty good day. Anyway, way back when Dallas drafted Duane Thomas around 1969 or 1970, they lost superbowl 5 on a bad call. Superbowl 6, they won their first superbowl. Thomas had a great day. In 1976, when Dallas drafted Tony Dorsett, they won Superbowl 12. The next year they lost superbowl 13 to Pittsburgh. Dallas drafted Emmit Smith in 1990, I believe and in 2 or 3 years , won 3 superbowls out of 4 years. I'm simply saying having a good runningback is important, at least as far as Dallas is concerned.
Haha 24 hours ago he faked his injury now we need to get use to them. He’s not getting any younger.
He’s missed at least 1 game due to injury in each of the previous 3 seasons before last seasons outlier.
Now he’s apparently tearing his hamstring off the bone just doing the bare minimum in terms of running .
It wouldn’t surprise me if he never plays a full schedule again.
He has no incentive to and probably retires after this contract is up anyways.
Wasn't he claiming this off-season that he was in the "best shape of his life"?. He actually looked liked a 85 year old who hadn't run in 10 years. What happened this offseason?
Yeah, having a 27ft Sea Ray out of San Diego for 20 years, I can tell you the ocean can be wicked on knees on ankles, and the fact that he had to wear a boot to feel safe, says a lot. When he runs, he takes as few cuts as possible and seems very errr stiff.I mean, he had to wear an ankle boot to go deep sea fishing.
So yeah, playing football is going to be a problem.
I don't know if he claimed that but I remember some people taking about how ripped he was. Yes, I do remember hearing something along those lines. Too much weights and not enough cardo?Wasn't he claiming this off-season that he was in the "best shape of his life"?
Or was that a different year?
He uses so many of these bland platitudes to try and convince everyone how awesome he is..... I kind of lose track.
I don't know I'm not a doctor. I just posted the news being reported at the time. What did he need to prevent against? The boat rocking? He wasn't mountain climbing, he was just standing there fishing.
Romo would have continued to play. Broken colar bone ring a bell?. Playing hurt keeps yoh hurt or worse.I am not going to defend his contract, because it is indefensible, but it is too early to make any statements about injuries in his future. This was a freak injury for sure, but he is not Romo.
Romo never played through a broken collar bone. It was the broken ribs he played through against the 49ers in 2010. When he broke his collar bone in 2010 and again in 2015 it ended his season. Though technically he did try to come back from that broken collar bone in 2015 but I think he might have lasted a half against the Panthers before he couldn't continue. He also played like soft warm dawg poo that day. But that's beside the point. He did give it a go. I wholeheartedly agree that re-inserting Romo back in 2016 once he got healthy would have given that team a better shot at postseason success. Dak played really well against Green Bay that day.. I just think Romo could have played better. Especially in the area of game management. Knowing how "ordinary" his defense was, Romo would have been more methodical and handed the ball the Zeke more to control the clock. I think Romo's grasp of the little things could have carried the Cowboys to a win that day. Would it have taken them all the way to the Super Bowl? Who knows? I certainly had no fear of Atlanta that year. Their offense was great but their defense could be had. I think Rodgers hung 40 on them even in a loss. I think the Cowboys could have done that. I think a Romo/Brady Super Bowl would have been a lot of fun!Romo would have continued to play. Broken colar bone ring a bell?. Playing hurt keeps yoh hurt or worse.
Thats what is so maddening about 2016. Dak played well enough to let romo heal. Instead of getting romo back to the team designed for HIM....jerry decides to keep dak....for "luck".
