I really dislike that show, but this morning my son got up real early and wanted to lay on the couch, so I was watching that.

The best part was Linda Cohn came on after their picks. She was like mad that golic picked Dallas. You could see the angst in her face.

She went off on a romo and cowboys bashing tantrum. She said romo gets a free press and if he had to play in a city like new york he wouldnt be liked because he doesnt care about football!! She went onto say that he is too worried about his celebrity girlfriend and his golf handicap to ever win in the league and that there was no way the cowboys go to the superbowl. She had this tone of hope in her voice when she said someone will trip them up!

It is amazing to see how hated this team is. I guess her open love for the giants explains why she made snide comments during our highlights on espn news the next morning all last year. I will never forget her whining about us beating buffalo the next day.

Anyway, She kept on yapping on how romo cant win a playoff game and isnt dedicated and golic cut her off saying, Romo is an excellent qb and player...she then started well what about the playoffs what about the playoffs?

lol. I wonder what she thought of eli manning going into last year.

and would be too hard for the national media to do some homework and realize romo played golf every offseason since he has been on the team in 03. He has played the us open qualifier every year and has played in small tournaments in wisconsin every year. To hear her using that as a reason for romo not being good, means that romo definitely is a great qb. Pretty sad.

anyway. Sorry for rambling. I just found her angst to be comical, not as comical as her lack of knowledge but still funny. The guy has played in 26 games and they are attacking him cause he hasnt won a superbowl. Too funny.

someday hopefully romo will win a superbowl and I fully expect the linda cohns of the world to then complain about what he didnt do in the super bowl even though they were there and or hopefully won.

Sorry bout rambling bro.

I was just suprised to see her so seemingly excitable that Dallas couldnt win and doesnt have a chance.

Golic gave her a chance to make him believe in the giants and she said eli is a year better and the team is confident. He cut her off and said 5 defensive starters are gone, the teams two best players and half of their 53 sacks. She responded by saying that is what the giants do is replace people and they will be better this year.

I guess she has only watched the giants last year, because they had a miserable time in a number of recent years replacing linebackers, o-lineman and secondary players.

oh well. I guess I am just shocked at how much the cowboys are hated. With the season actually here now, I have to brace myself and remember not to watch or listen to certain things because I cant stand the generalizations and misinformation these people spew.

I had the misfortune of listening to Linda Cohn on my way to work. Even though she works for ESPN, she was primarily hocking her new book, which outlined her background and future success in a male-dominated sports media.

In particular, she emphasized how she idolized Billie Jean King in tennis and playing on a men's hockey team as a goalie inspired her to become very knowledgeable about sports in general. Then, she proceeded to rip the Cowboys over non-football related topics, just like Theebs described.

Personally, I wanted to punch her in the face through the radio. She talked about how Gayle Gardner and Robin Roberts (sp?) were her idols before joining ESPN as if she can compare herself to them. In my opinion, she can't. I still respect her work at ESPN, but she sapped a lot of that respect from me today.

well I have nothing against linda cohn. I actually like her. She has always come across as a big hockey fan and after today I know why!

Ridiculous pick. They've lost their starting LT for four games and play some of the best pass rushers during that stretch. They'll be lucky to make the playoffs. Having a one-dimensional offense, no matter how good that one dimension might be, will get you nowhere in this league.

The Steelers pick is pretty bad too, considering their murderous schedule. But I do like Big Ben more than most, he was certainly worth his monster contract IMO.

Doubt it, he's big, durable and a great leader. He oozes leadership and instilling that kind of confidence in your teammates makes the entire team better than they actually are.
