Mike Fisher Reports

But man, he flashed dominance, too. Hybrid 1/3. I think our braintrust thought they could get the same from MCollins. Woefully over-extending his ability.

Not calling MCollins Donold. Not even in the same hemisphere. But that’s because we stopped his progress. How many snaps is Donold taking at 1?

Who's "Darnold"?

And Ratliff was a "get-by" player who was never suited for the role either. And that was before he got hurt and then lost his mind.
People post dumb things.
Jay Ratliff was a 4 time Pro Bowler and 1 time All Pro.
He was dominant.

He was also bi-polar and needed to stay medicated.

Like ******** opinions about what a "good fan does"? I agree.

They post incredibly dumb things.

Aaron Donald :)

Oh. That's some rarified air there. Not sure Collins can be mentioned in the same sentence.

One thing that struck me in Fisher's comments was him comparing Collins and Sap. I did the same thing after their rookie years. Collins actually had a better one. That's why my hopes were so high. But he really disappointed in 2017 and I hope it was simply due to his foot injury and playing the 1-technique rather than being fool's gold.

Oh I made damn sure to separate the two, my brother. Donald is the best DL in the game.

Still, MCollins came out of nowhere and his mystique, with myself, is still ever-present

I loved the guy from 2016 who played with Terrell McClain.

The guy from last year? Not so much. Disappointed.

Haven't given up on Malik Collins, he like Terrance Williams hasn't missed a game yet. Like them or not they both play hurt and there's something to be said for that. I really hope Malik can put those foot problems behind him, I think he has a high ceiling and I'd love to see him playing at that level.

I'm really hoping for a healthy camp and viewing the finished product forged by competition rather than misfortune.

What injury does COLLINS have to his foot again? How long does it take to heal, and how long has he already been on the sideline?

Terrell McClain and then before that...
Honestly, Brandon Noble back in 2002. Played next to La'Roi Glover.
2003 had Willie Blade among others next to Glover.
2004 we went with Leo Carson next to Glover
2005 we went to a 3-4 with Big Ferguson at NT.

Damn bro you went back in the day! I haven't heard those names in forever lol.

I always will remember Noble due to him replacing Hennings(after injuries made him retire in 2000). Blade for the sharting incident lol.

Chad Hennings was one of my favorite less popular(mainstream) Cowboys. Back then I was always amazed at his story of being a former air force pilot who served to boot.

Sure you do. You look at the roster, see a name there, and apparently say "Yep! We're good!"

Based on what? Wishful thinking? Certainly not any proven track record or success. Neither have any of that.

And both were gashed repeatedly by the run in 2017. Oh, and one is hurt and the other is suspended.

Who has thus far been a bust in his NFL career shown to be terrible vs the run.

Again with the "name on the roster" plan.

Sorry, I don't see anything "fine" at defensive tackle right now. Just a bunch of excuses.

So we suck and we’re doomed, right? Why even bother? Of course, you’ve got it all figured out, so why not push one of those bumbling fools aside and take control? Fame and fortune are there for the taking, and you could save the team you profess to love!

I’m just being smartassy!

Jones fracture and he's only expected to miss 2 more weeks at most.

Sounds like it...

Then he’ll burn 3 or 4 weeks “getting in to football shape”, followed by another 4-6 weeks “finding his groove” or “getting back to his previous level”. Then, he’ll sprain an ankle or pull a hammy...
