Mike Fisher: Source Reveal number one reason our head coach was hired!

When one guy is tweeting and spending too much time on podcasts and other stuff and you cut the guy who wants him to focus more on football, the “culture problem” is still in the building
Well that is more ironic, than telling, as there were other factors.

Schottenheimer was the most non-descript, milquetoast, keep-Jerry-comfortable hire imaginable.

Once they were even rumored to be interested in him, we all knew he'd be the hire because god forbid Jerry ever gets uncomfortable.

looool

No, he is not but unlike many new head coaches, he wasn't afraid to bring hire new coaches he had no previous relationship with. He admitted many of his coaches he had never met before hiring them. I will say what I have said before, Schotty, like Glenn, Johnson, and Liam, is a first-time HC. There is no factual proof any of the three will be a better head than Schotty coz none has ever done it. JMO
Any coaching additions to his staff was allowed by Jerry Jones. Brian Schottenheimer can be complimented for exercising the freedom, allotted to him, to staff according to his expectations.

I would disagree with any conception Schottenheimer is 'braver' or more 'innovative' than any of his head coaching predecessors not named Jimmy Johnson. I would fully agree Jones finally granted more deference and/or autonomy to his head coach in this way--something he should have fully embraced doing for a long time.

What Schottenheimer has done is an example of what Jones has practiced for several decades. He has tweaked how he wants his organization to run. He has not categorically deferred how it should be run.

Schottenheimer brought in coaches he never worked with. Great. Let's all see how that works out for him and the team during the next few seasons--if Jones does not cut bait before long.

Fans should listen to the PC introducing Shotty again

The most important thing Jerry kept emphasizing again and again was that he loved how “deferential” Shotty was to Mccarthy and bit his tongue. This kowtowing is the most important quality of any HC

lets not fool ourselves

I think Micah scares them to death........he's a generational talent but has some maintenance issues. The thought of making him the league's highest-paid non-QB player and the face of the team scares them IMO. Let's not forget, that Stephen surprised everyone by saying they will consider ALL options regarding Parson's extension.
I’m wondering, does anyone think that Tennessee would give you the #1 overall pick for Parsons?(replacing him with Carter?)

And could they get the #2 overall pick for Diggs and #12? (If they wanted to replace him with Hunter?)

You are not the only one or Vrabel and Pats for the 4th overall
Diggs is injured, so I don't him with much value at all right now

How you gonna change the culture if Jerry is still there

You think Schottenheimer gonna have that level of authority

But isn’t he part of the culture that was here? They’re doing everything they can to sell this hire. What a joke.

I would think that if you wanted to ensure you got Carter to replace Parsons, you’d have to get the #1 overall pick.

I was just thinking out loud whether Diggs (injured) plus #12 could get you #2 overall.

In that crazy scenario you could swap out two high end contracts and potential attitude problems for rookies.

I know on Sunday, when those teams were running the ball down our throats, those guys in the huddle were saying, "If only Jerry wasnt talking on Wed, Id be able to shed this damn block and make a tackle."

Cmon..... blaming TALK during the week for crappy play on Sunday is just ridiculous. I never hear much from Bowl Cut Davis in Las Vegas, yet they suck every year. How is that? I mean he stays pretty quiet. Same with Dolphins owner, Jags, Chargers, and I can keep on and on. Why dont those teams win? I mean they have a "Real GM," their owners dont meddle, they hire real coaches, and yet they suck year after year.
I’m not blaming “talking” Reid. I’m blaming the self proclaimed guy in charge of everything from jocks to socks who talks too much and has produced 5 wild card playoff wins in 29 years. That’s pathetic.

By his own design Jerry is responsible for everything but is never held accountable for anything. That right there is the real cancer here. If there is no accountability at the top, it exists no where else. This organization is so screwed up we could be gifted Patrick Mahomes and still couldn’t win a SB.

Come on man…you know who the problem is. You are too smart not to.

At 4th overall you are getting shot at Graham, Carter or Hunter min and STILL have your 12th. Ward is going 1st, 2nd or 3rd.......no question about that ( I'm thinking the Browns (2nd) )
