Mike Fisher: Source Reveal number one reason our head coach was hired!

It's so rare that SB winners grace the locker room of the Dallas Cowboys. How many ex-Patriots, ex-Chiefs, ex-Eagles, or even ex-Rams grace the locker room in Arlington? Not many. Why? Because they have been in places where the organization is run the right way and may actually influence the culture in a manner that Jerry and Stephen are not ok with.

Don't buy the culture change nonsense. What they don't want are vets that have seen how winners FO work because the Dallas build through the draft and re-sign your own model could get tainted. Most star Cowboys players have no clue what it is to play elsewhere. Hearing from Stephon Gilmore is definitely not what the Cowboys want Diggs, Parsons, DLaw, Osa, Prescott, Lamb, etc. hearing. It could taint how they view things. Normal won't be normal anymore.

So, you don't go after winners regularly. You sign FAs that have pedigree from franchises that don't win or don't players that don't produce on winning teams.

Sad but...it is the way of the Jones Boys, folks.
how that Pats front office working about now...... get out of here with that nonsense. Brady allowed them to essentially make any move, good or bad and Brady could overcome it. No Brady and just like that, the "Patriot Way," disappeared.

They were always not likely to resign Dlaw.
He is older, coming off a foot injury? and wants more than they would want to pay him.
Micah is pretty much someone they have to sign.
Fisher made it very clear LAST YEAR, DLaw and Martin were gone after last season. This was not hidden. As Fisher was saying for 10 months, blow it up was in full swing, which is why all you saw last year were CHEAP one year deals. They were almost conceding (my words not Fishers) last season and starting over this year. That is pretty much exactly what has happened.

Even if you remove the Pats, you still haven't addressed my point.

The FO does not want their "culture" disturbed. Probably why they didn't sign Bobby Wagner, along with price tag.

The culture can only be fixed by one person - Jerry Jones and he really isn't interested in fixing it.

What is your point? The great Chiefs Fo sucked for the first 48 years of my life (if we are using SBs as the lone factor) Then they landed the great Patrick Mahomes, and now all of the sudden they have an amazing FO?

The Iggles, as many teams do, are having a nice little run...so ok, give that FO some credit, but didnt they fall apart last year and the season after Foles won the SB?

Culture? wth is culture? The Cowboys are the media's favorite discussion topic, ALL YEAR LONG. Jerry has been pretty damn quiet this off season actually. Micah comes in and does his thing, and you some how think Bobby Wagner wasnt signed because they were afraid of him? Or maybe he is old and wanted to much money?

In 2007 we were the number 1 seed and had a legit shot, and we lost a crap game by 4 points to the team that won the SB. Was that Jerry's fault?

In 2014 we were 12-4 and in a 3 way tie for best record in the NFC. That team was also a legit team to win the SB and Demarco Murray fumbled it away. Was that Jerry's fault?

In 2016 we were 13-3 and another team with a legit shot, and we lost when Rodgers made one of the greatest individual plays in playoff history. Was that Jerry's fault?

I know it is easy and makes so many of you feel better to have a scape goat... have at it. I just dont buy the BS about "Culture."

But I am anxiously awaiting your definition of what "Culture," is.

You got it, Reid1boys.

To me, the culture problem is distraction, super stardom without effort or actually being any good, lack of motivation, being overpaid, undermining of coaches.. Interestingly enough, most of these issues that hamstring the team are also issues for the owner/GM.

At least you are trying.
Distraction? Who causes distraction? You do get that playing in Dallas simply comes with a spotlight unequalled in all of sports. That spotlight will never go away, even after Jerry is long gone.

Super Stardom without effort? Can you please point me to a couple of examples and how exactly "Super Stardom," ... well, maybe first explain what that is, but how does it impact the team on the field. But I am really interested in a couple of players that fit this description you have used of "Super Stardom with no effort."
No effort? Again, point me to some examples of players putting out no effort. How have you determined said player has no effort?

Lack of motivation? Exactly how do YOU measure a player's motivation? Are you in the weight room? Are you in the film rooms and meetings with players and coaches? Do you get to watch every practice?

Overpaid? what the hell does that mean and who gets to decide who is overpaid? You? based upon what factors? Are the Cowboys the only teams with "Overpaid," players?

Undermining of coaches? how does one do that? What is a specific impact of someone "Undermining," a coach?

I don't pay close attention to what players post on x and didn't realize dlaw and Parsons started a scuffle. Not to take this too out of context but it would explain why the defense often looked lost and was so out of position. Perhaps they just didn't communicate which was ultimately because of personal issues a few guys had with each other.

In Dlaws case he's been around and would have expected more from him as a leader.

Culture is not a new concept. There are tons of studies and research around defining & developing winning cultures, both in the sports and business worlds. Hundreds of millions of dollars are spent every year by companies interested in improving company culture. It can impact every aspect of a business at every level.

If you want a better idea of what culture is, just Google it. If one believes it’s wasted energy with the Cowboys, maybe so. But to discount the importance of culture in any business or sports franchise is to neglect an important component for success and satisfaction.

And speaking from experience, I have witnessed how a merger in my company has led to a complete breakdown in our culture to the point where our turnover has skyrocketed and employee satisfaction has tanked. I am currently part of a task force charged with identifying how can we recapture some of the culture that consistently made us one of the top companies in America to work for.

Well if you are unwilling to recognize the obvious then trying to explain it to you is a waste of my time,,, no thanks!

No need for me to google t, your first paragraph is clearly from google.
My wifes company was just bought out and they are now, probably the largest packaging company in the world. i am very well aware of what culture is in a business sense. But in pro sports..... not close to the same. Ever hear a terrible team talk about how much they love their teammates? Or talk of this great brother hood?

Culture in sports is defines by winning and losing. "Culture," does not determine if your team is good or bad on the field. But how good or bad you are on the field, clearly determines the team's "Culture."

Washington had a crap culture for a long time. Now they have a qb, and it is amazing how quick the "Culture," became good....lol

bahhahhahahaha, and on cue. When someone puts legit questions to the BS, I got the response I expected. I am not worth wasting your time on.

But hey, go write another post on how much Jerry sucks.... I havent seen that discussed in here lately. im sure you have time for that.
