I can probably count on one hand the number of Mike Glennon games I've seen with him as the starter but I'm not impressed. Like, at all. He stinks. Give me Dak Prescott.

Anyone convinced he can be a franchise QB on this team? If so, why not trade Leary and a draft pick to TB? Kills two birds with one stone: backup with potential to replace Romo in a year or two.

Again with the trade Leary. Our depth behind the OT's are shaky at best, and other than Leary, we have NO one at backup OG. Protecting Romo is #1. And for me, that includes depth. Glennon isn't getting us to the playoffs if Romo goes down anyways.

No please. There is no reason we should be trading for a QB when Foles is available to sign, and we damn sure better not trade away any draft picks. Remember what we got for two draft picks we traded away last year? It's so embarrassing that we gave a 7th for Michael, and he ended up right back with Seattle in the same season. Ugh.

You don't just sign Foles. He has to want to sign here. That could be tricky.

Word is, he wants to start. He's good enough that there will ALWAYS be opportunities because he's a QB. He's waiting for an injury or a team in panic.

He looked good as a rookie, so it would depend on what the Bucs want for him.

There isnt a starting job available. So you look at teams with good situation. Dallas has everything on offense a qb needs and a fragile qb. Doesnt get much better than that for a free agent.

There are LOTS of starting jobs available. Sort of. You think Denver is settled? Buffalo? Chicago? Cleveland? Even Houston?

Foles wants another BIG contract, so he needs to play to get it. I think he'll wait for the injuries to occur, then sign with somebody. By the end of September, there will be a couple starters that go down.

Chicago? Yes they are settled.
Houston just payed $23 million for Ossy, so yes they are too.
Cleveland- Already has too many Qbs. They wont sign another.
Buffalo- Going with Taylor for sure. Have EJ as back up with Cardale Jones

Denver is the only option, really, but Kubiak already said no Foles.

So basically, this guy is not staring anywhere.

I'm not crazy about the backup situation, but I'd rather hold on to Leary. The Cowboys will likely need him at some point this season.

I think a qb with a big arm who can just wing it 65 yards off their back foot always make great backups. Even if they struggle they can make plays by just throwing it down the field. I think this offense can take advantage of that.

Plus Foles could be signed for 2 or 3 years putting this issue to bed. Then prescott and hopefully a top flight qb talent could be drafted next year and not have any pressure on them.

Today, no. Give it a knee injury or two.

That's true, he does have to want to be a Cowboy. Rumor is that there is "mutual interest". He can sit at home hoping for a significant injury to a starting QB, but there's no guarantee that will happen. I hate to say it, but being a backup to Romo almost guarantees that you will have a chance to start 2-4 games each season. If you can't get a job as a #1 QB, this is probably the best place to be a backup when it comes to playing time.

I was touting him last year, so yes, if no too expensive. I truly believe this is Romo's last year. he gets hurt and retires
