I read carefully. Here are the relevant portions:

Sounds totally performance based. They don't feel Cason is suited for the slot.

except for this part "But sources said coaches had been trying to motivate Cason to improve and that they felt it hadn't happened. "

Didnt Cason have speed questions? Thats a no no

If you combined parts of DRC and Cason youd have something. I just wish DRC would pull his pants up

I think DRC is the best among the group.

Uh....are you having trouble reading?

The quote is "But sources said coaches had been trying to motivate Cason to improve and that they felt it hadn't happened. "

You are clearly reading it as he didn't improve.

That can also be read as he wasn't motivated enough to improve on his own...

As you note his performance wasn't the issue ... so that seems more consistent with my interpretation

Wow. You're really reading something into it that just isn't there.

I thought this was a case of something that was widely reported. Not just a bizarre reading of a single line from a single report.

I still find these types of threads amusing considering how many wanted him kicked out of town after the Giants game last year. Hell, there was a considerable movement to make Scandrick the starter this year.

Well, surely you can understand concern many had after that incident. I was one who thought Scandrick should start over him at the beginning of this year also. I'll be happy to admit that I am now very pleased with Jenkins' performance. However, I can't say I'm disappointed in Scandrick, either. I think we did well with both of them.

I assumed it was widely reported b/c I've heard it mentioned a few times on CA sports radio. That was simply the first story that popped up, I didn't have to search deeply for it.

But again, totally consistent with your analysis that he is playing well and the coaches benched him anyway.

If it's so widely reported, you'd think it would actually be ... widely reported.

My "analysis" that he's playing well is based on the statistics. I said that "statistically" he is outplaying his teammates. And that's very obviously true. I haven't watched the games, so I can't tell if there's something about his play that's not bearing itself out in the statistics.

Yup. He's very good.

yep, better than Ray Rice
He has about 50 yards more total (receiving + rushing) and they have the same amount of TDs. He's apparently not that much better.

CJ just benefits from all the attention Kenny Britt commands.

Ray Rice is the Ray Rice of football
