And just cussed out his coach who disciplined him for missing curfew while they were in London.
Isn't he the one that got into a fight at the rookie symposium? I remember his poor character coming out, and couldn't believe he got drafted so high.

Same guy

Can't remember off the top of my head.

Edit: Yeager confirmed.

But based on his actions in his short tenure in the league, I can honestly say I'm glad the 'boys didn't take him.

Cason > jenkins.

Cason has been demoted in SD. Coaching staff is noted in the SD papers to be unhappy with his motivation and work ethic. You know that, right?

jenkins is a starter and Cason is not.

gotta love the "grass is greener on the other side" attitude by folks who don't even know how the grass is growing on the other side.

If the Cowboys drafted a player you can be sure DaBoys4Life does not like that player.

I think his knock down against Denver was the most athletic play ive seen this season.

That was sweet, wasn't it?

From what I've read that appears to be a mischaracterization of what happened. I don't think anyone knows why they yanked him from the nickel role. But stastically, he was outplaying the other corners on his team.

Why stop at round 1....compare him to all 2008 corners. That is how you see what type of value you got with the pick.

Pretty much what all the CA reporters are reporting.

I'll admit I wanted Cason over Jenkins, but I'm glad they went with Jenkins instead.

You'd think if they were all reporting that I'd have been able to come across at least one article stating as much. Those articles may be out there, but I can't find them. It appears from several articles I've read that they were frustrated by his play and thought his replacement was a more compact, quick DB better-suited to cover the slot.

If they're displeased with his play, I think it's a bonehead move, as quite obviously he's been playing well.

...except to the team

I guess you can throw like a Tracy Porter in there, but these 5 or 6 were reasobably considered.

I guess its Chris Johnson/Ray Rice > Felix

But the rest of the draft was great. This is me giving credit

I read carefully. Here are the relevant portions:

Chargers coaches have said publicly over the past week the move was about Gregory being better suited to play in the slot, where the nickel back has to play in space, more than Cason having done something wrong. Cason was drafted in the first round in 2008 as a cornerback and is seen as a future starter at that position.

“I'm a big Cason guy, and I think he's an outstanding corner,” Turner said. “I think we've taken some pressure off him, and he can be prepared to back up both our corners on the outside.”

But sources said coaches had been trying to motivate Cason to improve and that they felt it hadn't happened.
Sounds totally performance based. They don't feel Cason is suited for the slot.

Didnt Cason have speed questions? Thats a no no

If you combined parts of DRC and Cason youd have something. I just wish DRC would pull his pants up
