Locking it was a bit much if that is true but making him isolated is not.
A bratty football player was disciplined, boo hoo.
Shame of it is Leach may have gone completely off the PC grid with his discipline but I'm rather convinced the James boy deserved a reality check.

I don't why you would be convinced of that. We have no information on the situation. All we've heard so far is what Adam Jones and his parents have had to say, and what Leach's attorney have to say. Neither side has incentive to be completely truthful. That said, TTU wouldn't piss off its coach that it just gave a huge extension to for nothing.

He should be suspended and probably sued. Concussions are serious and his behavior discourages players coming forward. This is inexcusable especially now when the NFL, lawmakers, and the public want football to improve their policies.

Locked a person in a dark confined, small room for hours with guards outside when a player said he had a concussion.

Agreed. Fire Leach.

Without knowing all the facts it is hard to say what I would do but if it is true the Leach should feel lucky Craig James did not kick his butt all over the place for doing that to his son. Disapline is one thing but there are certain lines you don't cross I don't care what the situation was.

Again I say this with very limited facts so lets wait and see

There has to be more to this then what has been reported. Leach is not a stupid man. I am not a big Mike Leach fan but I will say that I know he's pretty damn intelligent. He, himself, has a Law Degree from Pepperdine University so I am a bit sketpical of the fact that he would do anything to put himself in serious legal jeopardy.

I think much will depend on the kind of supervision and the level of injury. If your putting a kid in a dark room with the proper level of supervision, then I don't know that there is really much of a case there. If your leaving a kid that has a major head injury unsupervised, then you have a case. I would also say that TTU is not helping Leach here. I think they are making Leach pay for his interest in other jobs and will probably try to use this to get ride of him. I think Tech wants Art Briles of Baylor and I think they will probably use this as an excuse to make a play for him.

the same Craig James who helped put SMU football on death row.
The whole SWC should have been on death row.

Just to add to this, I'm sure most have heard by now that James was not put in a "shed" or a "closet". Those were gross exaggerations by the James family. The "shed" was a garage where the entire O-line used to hang out, and the "electrical closet" was a building where opposing coaches held their press conferences after games.

Original reports made it sound like he was locked in solitary in some kind of prison camp situation, and that was entirely untrue.

It looks like Tech made a poor decision. I don't see their program having near the success they did with Leach. That's fine with me. One less Big XII team to worry about.

Um, actually we do. You should read more of the stories from current and former players, as well as other coaches on the staff before speaking on things you don't know about. Just like the media should have done.

Didn't TTU give Leach a certain amount of time to apologize and that would have been the end of it?

Ouch, that changes the story completely. Maybe leech was wrongly terminated.

Uh, yea dude I made that post about 36 hours before you posted, when we didn't have any information. And all I said was to withhold any judgment until we knew more. Thanks for playing.
