Mike Mayock final mock draft has Cowboys taking Landon Collins?

I do not even think Collins is that bad (or the next Barron as some are saying). I just do not see how he makes this team better.

I want a safety as badly as anyone, but his skillset is so similar to what we already have, I just do not understand how that would elevate this defense up a level.

Is he better than Church and Wilcox, absolutely. But we would still be in the same boat as we were, just a smidge better. Schematically, nothing would change.

That is the problem is my book... we need a ball-hawking free safety not a tough in the box strong safety. I really like Cody Prewitt in the 3rd or 4th round if we decide to go FS. 8 INTs in the past 2 years, needs to develop a bit but I think with the right coach he will become very good at the next level.
