This is what happens when you take a good personnel man and turn him into a celebrity. He spends so much time doing everything but his homework. I won't be paying much attention to anything this guy says this year, because it seems he's following the crowd instead of spending his time in the film room analyzing players. He seems to have followed the Mel Kiper philosophy of following the popular opinions and ranking "name" players, instead of breaking each player's games down and giving an honest-educated opinion. This list really sucks.

I can buy Henne as Qb after Ryan is a crapshoot and Henne has a ton of potential. He also played the best at the Senior Bowl.

Sedrick Ellis over Dorsey is not a stretch.
Cromartie not in top 5 CBs is either a sign this is the best Cb class in the history of the NFL or is a list that needs adjustment.

DMaC may not be the top overall player but he is definitely the top overall RB. Maybe Mayock is a fan of RBs with huge biceps, lol.

I don't know. Mayock was the only person to call Donte Whitner that high to the Bills. Maybe he had inside information, but I'm not going to totally dismiss him. He likely has some legit contacts and seems to spend the background time doing his homewor.

I always enjoy Mayock. None of the "gurus" are perfect, but I like the fact that Mayock is willing to tell you who he likes and why. A lot of guys just recite the popular notion, whether it is legit or not.

So this means a little something to me, but I suspect he'll change it more as he watches more tape and gets more of the measureables.

If you watched the Senior Bowl coverage all week on the NFLN and last year's scouting combine, I don't think there is anyway you can call Mayock unprepared. The guy is not perfect, but he does his homework.

Umm Mike Mayock is one of the BEST in the business... He's really respected amongst scouts/GM's.

Mendenhall is the real deal, if Dallas has a chance to draft I'd be happy as heck! That game against USC should have sent a message...

Couldn't agree more. Also, as someone else previously mentioned, his list will change over the next month or so. Mendenhall in a Cowboys uniform works for me. Of course, same goes for McFadden.

Any ranking or mock draft done this time of the year is subject to much changing before the draft. Mayock is very good at what he does. I really like him and think he knows what he is talking about.
