Mike Mayock's Player Rankings By Position

I think the Mario Manningham at number 1 for WR probably surprised me the most.

It wouldn't surprise me if some guys had Jackson or Hardy or Doucet rated the top WR prospect overall, but I guess this is the first time I'd seen Manningham as the top prospect.

idk, he ranked a relative unknown at RB, Mendenhall, over everyone's favorite son, DMac

Actually, Mendenhall is very well known. He's GBN's 2nd ranked RB, and a top 3 ranked RB on most sites.

I like Mayock, moreso than Kiper and a handfull of other experts.

His list is weird, but meh. It's his list. It's not ours. Opinions change so much leading up to the draft--especially considering we havent even hit the combine yet--that this list is obviously preliminary. Mayock's trying to work things out.

It's tough to take any of these evals/rankings too seriously before the combine. Mayock has been pretty good the past few years. Hard to know where most of the prospects fit right now, so I won't get too worked up over any mock or list in early February.

i think the list are pretty solid and accurate except for the DMac thing and some of his CB's i agree with him.

Mike Mayok is one of the most respected minds as far as the draft and is never unprepared. I respect that he doesn't go with the popular pick and calls it like he sees it. I don't agree with some of his list but to say is is ill prepared is crazy.
