I think this is a really crappy draft at the skill positions this year.

Centers
1 Max Unger Oregon
2 Eric Wood Louisville
3 Alex Mack California
4 A.Q. Shipley Penn State
5 Antoine Caldwell Alabama

I like everyone except Shipley.

Guards
1 Andy Levitre Oregon State
2 Duke Robinson Oklahoma
3 Kraig Urbik Wisconsin
4 Tyronne Green Auburn
5 Herman Johnson LSU

Duke and Herman would fit in well with our line.

Offensive tackles
1 Jason Smith Baylor
2 Eugene Monroe Virginia
3*Andre Smith Alabama
4 Michael Oher Mississippi
5*Eben Britton Arizona

All will be picked before we get to draft.

Defensive ends
Rk Player School
1 Tyson Jackson LSU
2 Paul Kruger Utah
3 Robert Ayers Tennessee
4 Michael Bennett Texas A&M
5 Michael Johnson Georgia Tech

Kruger, Bennett, and Johnson would be OLB's in a 3-4. Ayers seems too small to play DE in a 3-4 and not fluid enough to convert to a 3-4 OLB.

Defensive tackles
1 B.J. Raji Boston College
2 Peria Jerry Mississippi
3 Ron Brace Boston College
4 Fili Moala Southern California
5 Evander 'Ziggy' Hood Missouri

Any of them would help. Raji went from low 1st rounder to possible Top 10 pick.

Inside linebackers
1 James Laurinaitis Ohio State
2 Rey Maualuga Southern California
3 Darry Beckwith LSU
4 Dannell Ellerbe Georgia
5 Jason Phillips Texas Christian

I just dont like Beckwith or Ellerbe at all. Which means we will probably draft both.

Outside linebackers
1 Aaron Curry Wake Forest
2 Brian Orakpo Texas
3 Brian Cushing Southern California
4*Aaron Maybin Penn State
5 Everette Brown Florida State

If Cushing starts slipping I would want to trade up for him, but to play ILB.

Safeties
1 Louis Delmas Western Michigan
2 Rashad Johnson Alabama
3 Patrick Chung Oregon
4 William Moore Missouri
5 Michael Hamlin Clemson

Wow.William Moore is sinking like a rock. Delmas was my sleeper and now looks out of reach. Johnson or Chung would improve our speed back there. No thanks to Moore or Hamlin.

Cornerbacks
1 Malcolm Jenkins Ohio State
2 *Vontae Davis Illinois
3 Alphonso Smith Wake Forest
4 Darius Butler Connecticut
5*D.J. Moore Vanderbilt

All 5 will be gone before we pick. How is Sean Smith not here ??(even though I think he'll be a great FS in the NFL)

At all positions. When Tyson Jackson is your best DE, that's bad.

Victor "Macho" Harris is a top5 CB. I'd take him over the dude from UCONN, and also the guy from Vandy. Harris can return kicks and punts as well, and isn't a total ****** like fellow Hokie DeAngelo Hall.

wow are you serious?

Yes VERY. The guy plays just like Roy Williams..horrible in coverage, plays up in the box. We need a ball hawk cover guy, not another Roy

The only position where my eyes light up on that list are ILB.

But we won't have a shot at the top two, probably.

Maybe it's best we traded away those picks, lol. Looking at that class...

My man Delmas the best safety in the draft. Nice. Looks like he'll be gone before we pick, which is unfortunate. He would've been a great fit for us.

I don't think this draft is terrible. There's some talent out there, and a few guys I like a lot.

My man Jason Phillips getting a little love.

And I agree, overall this draft stinks. Wonder if Jerry was smart enough to figure that into the Roy trade.

You know GENIUS Jerry too well..

Jason Phillips would be awsome with the first pick in the 4th, he anchored that top ranked TCU defense and is a tackling machine!..Ray Lewis and Jason Phillips..HELLO!

Call me crazy but i think Darry Beckwith will be just as good or better than the top 2 guys.

If you meant Jerry and his staff...no need to read on.

Unless Jerry used his personnel guys to tell him the draft would be weak (which they do not know for sure), the answer is 100% no.

No way JJ individually knows personnel enough to understand how an entire draft class will be...he is probably a C minus level (or lower) guy already as far as personally evaluating individual players.

Okay, but you asked for it, you are CRAZY. :insane:

Beckwith is nowhere near the players that Maualuga or Laurinitis are. No, no, no. Now go stand in the corner and think about what you said.
