McCarthy HAS to be gone at the end of this year.

The offense was on an unprecedented Pace for passing yards and total yards with Dak.

They were 2nd in scoring at the point Dak got injured.

They did all of that with udfa OTs playing the majority of the OT snaps.

How many players on defense would be good regardless of coaching staff?

Jaylon was terrible last year.
Crawford.
Worley started multiple games at CB.
Poe.
Practice squad DT.
Thompson was the original starter at FS.

Maybe good next year but this year...
Aldon Smith after 5 years off.
DLaw playing through injury.
Rookie 2nd round CB playing injured.
CB Brown returning from injuries.
LVE returning from injuries.
Rookie 3rd round DT not really ready.
Randy Gregory.
Trysten Hill.
Some 5th round and later types that are not ready.
Safety Wilson.

It lasts so long because your GM needs to see the McCarthy experiment fail again next year. If he shows any pulse at all that could buy him a couple years.

We don’t get out ahead of things. We wait until things blow up in our face and then wait for it to happen again.

tjhis is far and away not the same , first off we have lost 3times the amount of layers at key positions, then not only our QB1 but ours QB 2 and thats big deal..

anyone suggesting any Coach or coaching staff could have dont better is just looking to hate on MM and want the easy way out ie a scapegoat's..

this has been a disaster before the season started, we lost more guys then 2015 and then each game it was mash unit dropping like flies all sides of the ball..

take that and no real offseason with full coaching change and defensive philosophy change that had FA and the defense confused, can not blame the coaches they could not have planned for this..
it one thing to lose few players its quite another to lose like 17 of them..

Given how loyal Jones is, even if the Boys finish 3-13, MM will likely avoid a one-and-done exit. However, the hot seat would be scorching in Dallas heading into 2021.

I think the insult is to believe that this same HC is gonna turn into some kinda coaching legend because of an offseason,training camp and the injuries suffered this year.

He was 11-16-1 his last 2 seasons before being fired in 2018
He's currently 2-3 with Dak and 2-5 otherwise.

If he wasn't hired for his offensive background because this is Kellen's offense, why was he hired?
Did I mention the defense? Lol
