So it only took 2 years of Kellen Moore learning on the job and an interview by Jerry that said Dan Quinn could certainly be coach of the Cowboys. Nothing like a guy that comes in and takes control right from the start

This has all the makings of when Brian Stewart called the defense for Wade and it failed. Jerry wanted Wade to call it so he did.

He should have already been there. I'm not sure why he chose to rely on Moore as much as he did. The offense failed the second half of the season and as an offensive head coach, it's his job to fix it. I don't know if McCarthy just thought that tinkering with the offense would possibly mess it up during the season or what, but it disturbs me if his answer to the clear offensive struggles we were having was to do nothing and hope we overcame them.

I do agree that he's been more involved with the offense than most people think, though. It just bugs me that he's only now saying it will be his focus.
