Nolan, the LB whisperer
Let's hope!
Nolan, the LB whisperer
Just curious why so many fans judging a DC on two years of work almost a decade ago....
What has his time been like since then, all I care about
He’s a firm believer in the ability to scheme pressure. But most of his success has come when he’s had top rushers. Atlanta was really only place outside SF where he didn’t have overwhelming success
This is one of those "I bow to the HC's judgment" type of things. He's the one with his butt on the line and seeking a comeback.
I wouldn't hold ATL against him, they've never succeeded since they hired Quinn to fix their D. I was surprised he wasn't replaced after this season.
It's Marvin Lewis, all over again. Hire the DC off the best D to recreate that and they seldom can. They went to a Super Bowl in Q's second year, because Kyle Shanahan's offense was great that year. Matt Ryan had a monster season. But Qs handling of his coordinators since
leaves me scratching my head.
Exactly, those Atlanta teams put all their resources in Matt Ryan and the offense. Those defenses were woefully undermannedPlayers..Roster...
Yeah, everyone and their mother wanted Richard to take over HC just a year ago. Then the Dline collapsed in 2019 and Richard can't find a job now.Players..Roster...
The only hint of optimism that I could find was this article, lamenting his loss after the impact that he made on the linebacking core in New Orleans.

“Since Nolan’s arrival, the unit has put up some of the best performances in recent memory..”
But still, those 3 years in Atlanta should be a huge red flag.
