I would agree in principle, but I got a funny feeling that he will be a good HC.

He was a smart player when he played. It was said he was like having a coach on the field.

He was on a winning team, and played on a ferocious defense. He knows about winning and he knows how to win.

It probably won't happen, but I have a hunch that he would make a good HC.

Plus, I would welcome the winning attitude, the fire, and the nasty attitude that he would bring.
We need all three.

I think he will make a great HC in a couple of years once he has a little more experience.

There must be ways to tell if you are around a guy.

I wonder how the Steelers knew about Cowher.

I thought you wanted Moose to be the next HC?

yea....i just don't think he is interested in coaching though..i think he would make a great one if he ever wanted to become one though.

i had a few beers and let my feelings get in the way.

i apologize.

wow.....i really think iron mike just might be our next head coach.

I'd like Mike Singletary as the head coach more than I would the Defensive coordinator.

Bring Mike in but dont let him call the defenses.

No way. That stuff is godawful. I stole a 6 pack of it from someone who 'misplaced' it, I drank one and threw the rest out.

singletary called the adjustments on the best defense i ever saw. fiery emotional leader - yet his level of concentration was remarkable. i could live with him on the staff. in ANY capacity.

how many would like for mike singletary to be our next head coach?

i would.

"i like this kind of party!!!!"

" we're going to be here all day baby!!!"

we need this kind of passion.

Personally, I'd rather have some on the job experience...

A head coach has to be able to do a few things other than "motivate" players... he has to be organized, he has to be able to evaluate personnel, he has to be able to make adjustments in the course of a game...

Show me where Mike Singletary has any kind of a track record in any of those areas...

Simply being fiery isn't enough to make you a good head coach in the NFL; if it did, Bill Bates would be interviewing for a few of these head coaching vacancies...

Perhaps I'd have interest in Singletary as a defensive coordinator, but at this point, he's simply not ready yet to be a head coach... I am amazed at how many Cowboys fans in here, many of them the same fans howling for Parcells' head because he couldn't get the Boys over the hump, are willing to settle for a totally unproven quantity for their head coach...

Well, I'm not much up for GAMBLING on somebody who MIGHT make a good head coach, or who might not...

Singletary >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Norv

Singletary >>>>> Garrett

lets get real though, the best "now" fit for dallas is wade phillips, especially with jerry's premature hiring of jason in an unspecified (OC) role. he can fix our PROBLEM (defense) and our offense doesn't need a reboot with a sub .400 coach.

norv has no purpose on dallas.

i'm pulling for wade phillips. but i'd rather see singletary than norv or jason.

the defense is what ails this team.

singletary should have fewer problems commanding respect from his players than either turner or garrett. and i believe he has the kinda personality that will allow him to succeed at whatever he commits to.

he wasn't the biggest or fastest MLB. but he out-hit, out-hustled, and out-prepared all his peers. if i'm betting on longshots - and that's pretty much what the field consists of today... he's one of the best of a shaky bunch.
