mike singletary

Nolan nor Singletary have been the Niners DC.

A guy named Billy Davis was but he's been terminated. Thats why they're bringing in guys like Campo and Manusky from SD for looks.

according to Schefter/NFL Network Singletary will be next to get an interview for the HC position!!!!!

PLEASE LET THIS BE TRUE!!!!!

Hmmm.... If we hire him for HC I think I might have to have my undies dry cleaned.

Hopefully he will have a shot at the DC position at least

Would you rather have Norv at HC? That seems to be the hot topic on the board so I just had to ask.

Rooney Rule interview, but it will give Jerry the opportunity to talk to his potential future D-Coordinator!

Good point. ;)

I thought we already satisfied the Rooney Rule with the Bowles interview.

Would DC be an promotion from assistant HC?

Because he holds that title with the 9ers as well as LB coach.

cuz he isn't the "old geezer" coach like Phillips and Turner.

This team, especially the defense needs a shot of adrenaline(sp?), not a shot of geritol(sp?lol)

Does anyone have a definitive answer on this? If Singletary has that Asst HC title with San Fran, would bringing him here as DC be a lateral move?

I asked the question and the "experts" answered. I wish there was some link that totally convinced me though.

I wasn't aware he was going to actually be the coach. I thought Jerry was re-hiring himself.

I heard Norv was going under the knife as early as this evening to insert the puppet strings.

The new rule per NFL guidelines is that the only interview that can be done without permission is when an assistant or coordinator interviews for the Head Coaching position.

It was changed to keep teams from offering promotions as "Assistant Head Coaches" when they were basically doing the same thing.
