That is what coaches normally say after a victory. You don't want your team getting too cocky after a win, you also don't want them getting depressed after a loss. If you don't know all the things a head coach does I'm not going to go through them all. You really think he has no input whatsoever on the game? Why does every team have a head coach then? You really think our team is the only one with a head coach who "does nothing"?

What have you seen that makes you think Joseph wants to be a rapper more than a football player? Because he has an interest outside of football? I guess Brady just wants to be an actor then because I've seen him in commercials. Some of you all crack me up. You think these guys should just be football focused 24/7 365 days a year. They have lives outside of the game. Are you just working every hour of your waking existence or thinking about work? That's a sad life.

On defense players have assignments. There's a good chance that play wasn't all on Brown. Like Quinn said, Brown was supposed to have help and he was in the trailing position. If the safety was where he was supposed to be, that play likely doesn't happen. But a dude tripped and the safety went to help there, can't fault them too much for that I guess.

You listen to the media press conferences too much it seems. You really think they are saying the same things to players behind closed doors?
very true OPs thoughts are not aging well he hoped to start flame war to trash talk our team..smh

Mike Tomlin won his first game yet he was telling his team they have to get better. In all phases of the game. Learning to get better is going to be a must, he said. Dallas coaches. We looked good. I see good things out there??? WHAT???? That's why we need a hardnosed no non sense head coach like Tomlin. I for one don't think Big Mac Mike was a good coach pickup for our team. And speaking of Mike just as I asked about Garrett when he was here. "Can somebody tell me exactly what is Mike's job. What does he do to help the team out? He's not a defensive coordinator for sure. We have Moore running the offense. So what does Mike do?? Serious Question. I mean put Moore at head coach what do we miss????

To the GM:facepalm: Why does he keep taking chances on questionable type character players? Boss man IMO is one of them. The guy seems to want to be a rapper more then a corner. Reminds me of the Lakers former player Kyle Kuzma. Has talent but the head is more focused on being a trend setter rapper type more then basketball. I'll give Boss man another season to prove he's not like this but the rope will be short if I were the GM.

Still wish we would of gotten one of those pot bellied defensive linemen. I'm talking 340 plus. I was watching different games Sunday and when teams did try to run. Those big suckers shut the run down. We saw what Veda did for the Bucks. He basically threw Conner around in those key situation like a bag of stale chips. And I was watching Quinn yesterday and he said it wasn't Browns fault on the one long TD pass. He said a guy fell down and the safety went to check his man when he should of been helping deep. Quinn laughed and said the lesson learned here is I shouldn't had called the play there. I said to myself. These coaches are killing us more then the opponents. It's just the first game but i think Mike needs to get tougher with this team. No more smashing watermelons . How about heads and arses. At least Quinn said " there were no moral victories Thursday". But all things being equal I like Quinn. Seems like a great guy. Hope he turns us into a great defense.

Tuna would do the same. When you win, focus on the negatives. When you lose, focus on the positives. We don't need the team catastrophizing a final second loss to the SB Champions.

I don't understand why so called Dallas fans thought we'd get slaughtered by Tampa. I posted on the prediction thread they'd beat Tampa 33-31. So yea. I was mad. I expected them to win!!

so your prediction was wrong, Lolol. Thanks for sharing

It's not particularly unusual for head coaches to not be coordinators. Jimmy Johnson wasn't. Joe Gibbs wasn't. Bill Belichick isn't. Of course the coordinators answer to the head coach, and I'm sure have to get the game plan approved by the head coach.

Dallas was out played in every statistical category imaginable outside of turnovers. Godwin doesn’t fumble inside the 5 and Dallas never sniffs a chance at winning. They were thoroughly outplayed in the red zone as well. It wasn’t as close as it looked. Even when tb gave them the game on a silver platter, Dallas managed to screw it up.

but he did fumble

100 Bro you saved me typing

some coaches say things in the media to try and not put panic in the league and keep their real thoughts in the HOUSE, families dont typically air their dirty laundry out in publics.. they do it in private..Idiotic fans make these wholesale judgements over some bs they get in media sessions..

its moronic to make judgments when you dont live in that house and hear what really is being said.. so yes the op is just that,...

Not getting suckered by media clips. FYI. I go with results! Tomlin versus Dallas since he's been a head coach. You do the math. Tomlin teams always play tough. Injuries and all. We lose one key guy and the sky is falling in here. My point being we need better head coaches in Dallas. Can anybody argue this point?

BS Dallas was over 52% on 3rd down conversion while Tampa was 5 of 11 for 45.45%, Dallas put up more yards both air and ground despite not really running the ball much. Dallas lead in time of possession. Tampa Bay did not give Dallas a damn thing. I see no reason to celebrate any loss but you say game was not close then you truly are clueless

Yep and by that logic if Zuerlein does not miss his FG we win. Dallas played a good game but in the end did not make enough plays to win but anyone with eyes could see this was a hard fought battle between these 2 teams that went down to the final possession of the game.

this is also incorrect. Tb doesn’t settle for a fg if they need a td. Is that so hard to understand?

I do wonder why some fans even bother. Watching the Cowboys is a job lol. Why even bother if you are that miserable?

i prefer to call it an investment, ive been invested in the team since i was 10, it part of my lifestyle and while i take it serious im understand its not always going top be perfect.,i accept my teams flaws as it comes with with with dynasty and some day we will be on top again, regardless of how fans overreact and hate the new regime..

if they respect that STAR :star::starspin: ill support them until they dont..we dotn have much choice follow them, support them or hang up the fan card and move on..many in here support the 60-96 cowboys now they hate this team as much as ours opponents..its apparent and obvious maybe they are in denial but when i read some of the zoners post 99% are all negative anti-cowboy trash talk, how can you call yourself a fan?

sure we can debate bad calls, bad plays, and discus games, discus the season once its over etc but some of these alleged fans take it too far and i get into defense mode and lash back.,.

Fact is it was and went down to a final drive to win it that in any reasonable person view is a close game. Celebrating a loss? No and have said Cowboys did not do enough to win and mistakes were made that need to be corrected. If you want to come in here spouting BS fine, but you really are clueless when you claim Dallas had no business even being in the game.

and much easier getting into a FG range than getting the TD. Frankly I don't think you understand much, just want to come in a trash the Cowboys. You really are pathetic

Great point. But did you have any doubt who made the Dallas Cowboys go? Jimmy! They knew to play well or else. Do you think Mike has the same motivation for the team? For me that's what the head coach should be. The enforcer.
