And what would be the benefit for him to come here? Our defense needs a complete rebuild, he already has a team that is very successful in his system. Dallas does have more visibility and Jerry COULD blow him away with money…those seem like the only positives for him. I predict if he doesn’t get a HC job, he uses these interviews to get himself a big pay raise in Minny.

As you yourself stated, Jerry previously said he wasn’t interested in doing things the same way he has in the past. He said he doesn’t want a recycled HC. Flores is that. Most of the guys we have interviewed have never been a HC.

The Pittsburgh opening might be another that Flores would get a look from since he was on Tomlin’s staff at one point.

Flores wasn't elite in MIami. He does have a very good defensive system. I would love to have him here but I think there is no chance. As far as HC goes, he isn't received much play yet. Maybe that will change.

Depends on how you look at it? Kenny Pickett was a home town kid who played his college ball in the area and sports media could have played a part into the Steelers selecting him. Especially when you're currently searching for a solution for Life after Big Ben.

Omar Khan is the Steelers GM and you can research on how he was the main guy when it came to trading for Justin Fields and signing Russell Wilson. Getting fleece by Jerry for George Pickens (Jerry usually takes the sucker bet) and trading for DK Metcalf.

So once again, could Tomlin overrule GM or vice versa? Regardless of who called the shots, IMO QB was the down fall for the Steelers.

Kenny Pickett might have been 15-10 as a starter for the Steelers but he was also 13 Tds / 13 ints as a starter as well. You think that type of production is going to put you on the Steeler's cover of the gameday program??

Pickett is a career back up type QB. He’ll make a great living as a number 2, max out his pension with 10 years in the league, similar to what guys like Chase Daniel and Wentz did, and watch the NFL on TV the rest of his life. Like we do. Squeezing decent play out of him for a couple of seasons is another example of why quality coaching matters.

I don't think any of that matters, you tried to accuse me of saying that I'm the only one who wanted Flores here, and I even told you in 3 different replies, I never said that once,


as a matter of fact I'm the opposite, I said I do not think he would even interview for A DC job anywhere, and even if he did I would not want him because he would not stay very long because he has hopes of being in HC, you accused me of saying that I want him here as top candidate or something, and I'm the only one who said that ,and I showed you proof you were wrong ,and you won't let it go..

We're talking because you accuse me of something and you're wrong and instead of apologizing you're trying to double down....

I never said Flores was coming here, but he is at the top of a lot of people's list to be A DC in Washington and Dallas But many of us are more realistic knowing that he more than likely if he remains A DC, it will be with the Vikings, unless he gets an HC job,

I have said that since day one, that doesn't mean I can't put him on a wish list, like others...

I prefer Leonhard, Jones, or maybe banda ,but plenty to fall back on in Gannon or Orr..

It's not a big deal I mean this process has barely started Everyone act like the Cowboys would be behind not let go of Eberflues fast enough but really this year is going real slow for all teams a lot of these candidates either can't be interviewed because teams refused or they're on playoff teams etc..

A couple more weeks of this nauseating debates that should start to become more clear as teams drop out of the playoffs and they can do in person interviews et cetera we'll find out what's going on....
 
Say what you will, they've been stagnant and a dud in the playoffs for a long time, but not having a single losing season once in 19 years is pretty damn amazing.

You keep saying Flores doesn’t want to be a DC anywhere but Minnesota. Where is your proof? Have you heard him reject a DC interview? Have you heard of any other HC interest in him besides the one team he was linked to?

I have publicly stated multiple times I don’t think Flores would ever be hired here and explained why.

You want someone the Cowboys have said they wouldn't have an interest in....a recycled head coach. That's Gannon, whose resume is pretty crappy.

You just keep writing these soliloquys when a few sentences would do.
