Nothing against you personally, but I don't understand this argument at all, and you're not the only one using it.

Costing us 2 million?? We're under the cap. I'm not aware of anyone we've tried to sign or could be signing right now that we couldn't because of lack of cap space. So what does it matter how much he's getting paid?

It's not coming out of YOUR pocket. It's not like you're getting ripped off. Jerry may be, but he can afford it. It's not costing the team. We don't get to carry cap space over to next season. I'd also argue that there are a lot of guys overpaid on this team.

So even if it's technically costing $2 million to have Vandy kick, it's not hurting us to pay him that much. Suisham could come in and miss the same kicks, (probably more of 'em) for cheaper...? Really? You'd rather have a guy in here who you wouldn't be AS confident in (even if you have little to no confidence in Vandy) making kicks, because it saves you the piece of mind that at least we're not overpaying him? give me a break

I want to know where all these people are coming up with the TRAJECTORY THEORIES on the blocked field goal. There wasn't a SIDE ANGLE of the kick shown that I remember.

How in the hell can you tell what the trajectory of the ball is when you're BEHIND the kicker? That's like a referee standing at the back corner of the endzone and trying to tell if a kick was good or not.

Anyone got footage or photos of the kick that are from the SIDELINE even with the line of scrimmage and not from the ENDZONE like they showed on the broadcast?

That's just someone pulling stuff outta his rump to try and beef up his futile defense for Ray Finkle.

And what's your point of reference to dispute his "theory"?

That's my point... NO ONE has a good view of the TRAJECTORY of the ball because we all have a view from BEHIND the kicker.
That's like judging the winner of a 100 meter dash while standing at the starting line... its just a bad viewpoint to come up with some crazy idea that it was either HIGH ENOUGH or TOO LOW.

I read post #20 BEFORE I went "spouting off". You're disputing his points based on what evidence?

Calm down fella.. I'm not jumping your case... I was simply making my point that NOBODY has much evidence to support them on this.

I wasn't supporting anything. That would be my statement of post #20.

"At what trajectory? You got a grid on your display? Show me your hypothesis as to your conclusion of 9 feet."

That's what I said.

I am calm. You ought to see me when I'm riled.;)
