I’d be fine with this. Zimmer was a good coach. Not the best under Campo, but definitely improved under BP, Cincy and Minnesota. He can be aggressive and creative we could do wayyyyyy worse. Plus it doesn’t bother him to work for a Lame duck he’s not worried about it, that alone makes him a great candidate.

As a defensive-minded coach, he always gets the most out of the Vikings' defense. In his six seasons, the Vikings' defense has ranked in the top-10 in points allowed five times. The only time they didn't finish in the top-10 came in his first season in charge, when they ranked 11th.

I'm not sure how picky we can be given the circumstances. Who wants to go to work for a company that might be going out of business like McCarthy? There's more of a chance of a total coaching house cleaning than not after 2024.

I’m behind this. He’s a damn good defensive coach. Focuses on stopping the run first
