our next draft should be interesting....OL...K...PR...WR...QB...

Not sure guys like Mason Crosby, Ted Ginn won't be high on our draft board...

I tend to like Steve Smith as TGs eventual replacement. He's not a 4.2 guy but he does run those perfect routes and has TG-type hands.
Love Ted Ginn, but don't see him becoming an elite WR. If you value PR/KR that much then perhaps a first round pick would be worth it.
I'm not sure Mason Crosby won't be worth a low first or high second round pick.

So I guess you didnt like Irvin's little dance, Deion's high step, or Alvin Harpers Dunking....

Yeah didint think so.. Why hate on the guy when hes done nothing but improve a shoddy receiver core. You lose T.O. , you lose all hope of going deep in playoff run...

Green may just need more time to adjust to the NFL. Austin will be a good one, I think, and Rector will be back I'd wager (if I was a betting man).

T.O. will impress me when he shuts his pie hole and starts acting like he's supposed to catch TD passes.

The guy goes ape chat when he scores. He should take a page from Parcells book and just go back to the huddle without saying anything.

But Me-O needs him some spotlight.

I do think that Romo will be the QB that T.O. finally bonds with. And Romo has the potential to be a positive influence on T.O.

If T.O. can keep his ego in check, we should be fine. But I'm not gonna praise him for making a catch that he should make every time. I expect that from the little prima donna.

I think that it is possible that there might not be much value in Skyler Green. To spend a 4th round pick on a player who is purely special teams doesn't seem like a wise decision, but he carried the label of "best return man" so The Tuna naturally felt OK drafting him.

What has TO done or said lately. Have you heard anything in the past few weeks. When he scored his TD in the Arizona game. When we were ahaead, and when he could celebrate....what did he do or say?....Nothing.

Guess you didn't like any of out past WR's then either did you.

I'm still holding out hope for Skyler. He's got great quickness (read: moves) but definitely looks slow and fat.

Extremely disappointed in that pick, for sure

I wonder where the boys had Devin Hester on the Board.. Im sure it was ahead of Green.
I wanted Hester in the 4th, but now I wouldn't trade Hatcher for anything. I still think we could've gotten a Fasano type in the 4th, I still think that 2nd was a terrible pick. I like Fasano, but there were some other Fasano's in that draft later on.

I don't think Skyler Green lacks the ability to make good returns, I think he's just indecisive right now with what he wants to do.

IMHO, Bill Parcells is VERY detail oriented and tries to correct everything about a player and get them to THINK as well as play with their natural ability. I believe Parcells mentioned at one time that Skyler was immature or something. Parcells coaches his return guys to pay attention to EVERY DETAIL on how they go about returning kicks... he does this to maximize return yardage.
I think Skyler Green is analyzing/thinking about doing what Coach Parcells has coached him to do instead of just winging it and using his ability.
This is NOT a knock on Parcells! Coaching and correction MUST BE DONE! Its really just an assessment of why Skyler didn't look smooth or quick... he looked indecisive to me.

I say give him some more time during practice and training camp to be able to follow what Parcells wants without having to think about it. He's just one of those guys that's going to take a while to get up to the NFL level and what the coaches expect of him.

Watch the Bill Parcells - In Their own Words video available on my site www.cowboysvids.com
It has a good piece of footage of him coaching his return guys while with the Jets.

Rector is on the practice squad. Once a team gets good how much churning of the roster do you expect to take place each year. Ten players?

no doubt, this guy was the worst pick we made this yr...

it was obvious during TC & preseason that he was a waste, and he still looked like a waste once he hit the field in those couple of regular season games he got in

oh well...win some, you lose some

David

Green was a 4th rounder wasn't he? That was a really wasted pick but I wonder even moreso how this vaunted scouting department really missed on this particular guy not that I am complaining overall about the selections. Skyler Green absolutely looks slow and tentative out there.
