Is that the same scouting department that can't select an olineman to save their lives?

I hope Austin does well, but it's been 3 years and so far I don't think anyone can honestly say they are convinced he can play. To me he falls into the same category at Carpenter which is if he is a great player he would have showed it by now.

The one thing I don't want to hear is "he was undrafted from a small school, it takes time." I counter that with, "see Marques Colston".

Look on the bright side. If Austin plays great, you can always come back and complain about how the coaching staff kept him on the bench b/c they can't recognize talent. You can then point to Tashard Choice and Austin as support for your point. Everybody wins!

What year did Crayton get to the Cowboys? I don't think he was hear all that much longer than Austin, plus he was a 7th round draft choice, not much difference.

well Mr. Arm chair QB this isnt madden football cause with that statement you must think that it is. You dont want to hear the undrafted small school bit but this is reality and you have to take that into account. Dude get real it takes on average 3yrs for a WR that was drafted to start really breaking out. you dont have to believe me cause the facts and stats back me up. so to stat that austin is in carps category is freaking rediculous cause carp played bigtime college football at a big time program so the transition wasnt suppose to be as great for him. IMO austin is exceeding expectations with how much hes been coming on.

Austin has speed, but his ability to own the ball in the air is horrible. He has problems adjusting to the ball in the air, along with iffy route running, I don't see much there.
I disagree.

He goes up and gets the ball at it's highest point and adjusts just fine. remember the Arizona TD where he extended up top and got both feet in? Or how he used his body to shield the defender to get seperation against the Packers? This dude has potential.
