Miles Austin

I hope they give him some rest. He is the best number two WR in the league and we are going to need him. :)

:laugh2:

Why won't he be ready??? It's the same offense as last year and I'm sure he'll have the playbook down.

He can always fall back on the work he got in mini camps and OTA's, eh?

The entire team needs to practice. If he is hurt, sit him, but precautionary measures can be taken too far. He didn't play last week either.

yea sit him for the rest of the pre-season and have our rookies and young guys go in and compete.

They're doing the same with with Terence Newman's and Marcus Spears' groin injuries. They get worse if you run on them.

Sit, heal, and come ready to play football Week 1.

That's what its all about, week 1 and the season...

There comes a point where sitting people for every little thing diminishes the team's readiness. He needs to get reps to be ready. They all need reps to get ready.

It's like not letting Dez return punts. Why have a great punt returner if you don't let him return punts because he might get hurt?

Suck it up and play ball.

It'd be one thing if it was a joint, or a fracture.

Not a tweaked hamstring. Ligaments are always extremely tender when healing, you don't rush those things.

Not all injuries you should just "suck up and play" during the preseason.

It's a hamstring injury.
It's like you're telling a blind man to stand in front of a wild pitching machine set at 100mph and after he gets beaned in the...uh, beans...a few times, you tell him to suck it up and get back up there.

On another note; I bet we will be watching the waiver wire intently after the next preseason game. Not having a great WR3 is one thing when everyone is healthy. But when he has to become WR2 (or WR1), that is an issue.

Let him practice doing what he can, hold him out of the games or to one series a game.

I agree, if you do you will be dealing with it all year long. Offense has not changed Miles knows it so losing time right now is not going to hinder him.

They should play if they have a fracture? Man, you're tough. :laugh2:

Did you know that's how Stuart "Booyah" Scott jacked up his eye, fooling around with a JUGS machine at some team's TC? Thing was set to HIGH and the ball went right through his hands into his eye. Ouchhhh.

I find the lack of faith in Miles Austin disturbing in this thread.

Some of you shalll be visited by my apprentice, Darth Romo2Austin, shortly.

He will... take care... of you.

I have taken care of them my lord..

I find the lack of faith in the allmighty Miles the king Austin-Jones disturbing, anyone to question his authority and immortality is ignorant and has yet to be enlightened by the great Miles.

they said today that if the game was tomorrow he will be able to play.
Now I say yes go ahead and sit him out of games till week one but he should practice.

the guy whining about sucking it up and playing clearly has no idea about hamstring injuries.

No dude, he shouldn't practice. He should be sitting and allowing it to rest...

As I said.

What you said is DEAD WRONG.. If his hammy is tender, you definitely don't practice him.. That's foolish and that's why the staff is sitting him..

I said let him do what he can. If he can't run, let him walk through it.

That's what I said and it's very broad.

You have done well, Lord 2Austin.

Now return. We must seek out the last of the [strike]receivers[/strike] Jedi and take care of them as well...

How is this even a thread?

Miles isn't some scrub struggling to make the team... He's had years in this offense.

Not only do you sit him until the Jets, you hope the hammy is fully healed by then.
