COWBOYS FANS WILL FUEL UP ON MILLER BEER

Posted by Mike Florio on May 26, 2008, 10:06 a.m.

As folks who attend Dallas Cowboys games attempt to comply with the NFL’s new fan conduct policy, they’ll have to resist the effects of Miller beer.
For the next 30 years.

According to SportsBusiness Journal, the Cowboys and Miller have entered into a three-decade sponsorship agreement, which will pay a whopping $8 million annually for the first ten years.

Hopefully, no one will be ejected as a result of brawls that break out with the respect to the epic “less filling, tastes great” debate.

Wow, could Jerry have picked a worse beer to pair with?

Although there are a thousand better beers than Miller, there are a million worse ones. I get your point though....bottom line........................ $

Miller is already being sold at Texas Stadium. And they may be the only beer company willing to pay his price...

I'm a cola guy, but given the description of the home crowd by some, I assumed that Jerry only sold Chablis.

Immediately I assumed the sponsorship was for naming rights to our new stadium & was surprised Jerry couldn't get more. Now assume it's for exclusive selling of Miller Beer. Oh well, any extra money Jerry can use to either recoup his expenditure on the new stadium and maintain quality maintenence would be good. If he can get that from Miller, wonder what they going price is for naming rights. Should at least be double.

Is there a discernible difference between Miller Lite, Coors Light, and Bud Light? Those were the only likely candidates and all 3 taste like water.

Indeed. Duvel and Maredsous are nice and widely available as well.

Nothing like drinking subpar beer for the sake of drinking subpar beer.

Didn't say that at all. They're just better than Miller/Bud/Coors. You can actually get Belgian style beers made in US breweries. They're just not as available as those actually made in Belgium.

If you're going to get inexpensive beer, at least get Dos Equis.

A real man drinks his whisky by itself.

Of course, real whisky isn't American made either. ;)

I agree with THEO-light beers are an abomination.I like IPAs myself but those suckers are like 300 calories a bottle-so I drink them sparingly(like on game days).
