Milroe huge pro day

Dude is a project QB. Don't know what people saw on tape with him in Bama to consider him outside of "potential".
What Qb isn't a project? None of the Qbs in this draft are going to hit the ground running. 4.37 speed at QB is sure helpful when plays break down.

He's gotten by on athletics more-so than as a passer. Of course most QB's coming into the NFL need some coaching up or improvement.
But as a passer he wasn't that good inside the pocket, struggled on reads, accuracy issues.

Vs the SEC he had 5 passing TDs and 10 INTs. While Bama isn't the Saban peak powerhouse it once was, it's not like he was playing on a **** team and struggling.

I've seen his comp be Justin Fields, and I think that's accurate. Fields was forced out early and relied too much on his legs than being able to work on his passing side. The talent is there with Fields, but I don't think he'll ever put it all together.
But even then, Fields had a much better college career as a passer.

Instead of building on his 2023 season as a passer, Milroe regressed in 2024.
He's never shown to really read a defense.

A 4.37 is great and all, until you get into the NFL and the defense knows you struggle past your first read and will just try to run at the first sign of passer progression.
If he can develop like Lamar Jackson who couldn't hit the side of a barn his rookie year to the 2 time MVP, then great. I just don't see it.
Most QB's will bust, but I just don't think him running a 4.37 is that impressive when that's his main threat coming into the league-outside of a cannon arm with no touch.

The Alabama situation last year was a complete mess. New coaches. New system. Not a lot of talent at WR. His best WR was a freshman. Alabama will not put any WRS or RBs into the NFL next year for the first time in as long as I can recall. So, his struggles last year were not all on him. He proved at his pro day this week that he can make the throws, and you can't teach 4.37 speed.

Think faster version of Jalen Hurts before he got to OU and got some better coaching. Hurts isn't lighting the league on fire with his arm either but he just lead his team to 2 Super Bowls and has a ring. So, we know QBs who play like him in the right offense can succeed.

You would be happy with anyone
Bs. I'd be happy with the guys I said. I'm actually glad that they have Will Grier. I like him a lot more than Rush. I'd like to draft Milroe if they can trade back and get an extra pick. If that doesn't happen, I would trade a 5th for Milton or draft the Indiana qb.

If Milroe is taken in the draft like Hurts, IE not expected to be a day 1 starter, with the right coaching staff, I think he can develop.

Just when I see him in some mocks in round 1, boy, that to me is an overdraft.

He can make the throws in the pro-day, but the tape showed him with some flaws when dealing with the pass rush. Once again, I don't expect every QB to be andrew Luck "perfect" coming out of the draft, but I think Milroe has the tools, but it's getting him to put them in the toolbox correctly and not rushing it.

I think this draft class sucks for QB. After Ward, it's a diva, then guys that have a decent ceiling but also a low floor if they don't pan out.

He can make plays.

Milroe has been a MESS his entire college career.
ANYONE using a first on him is dumber than Jethro

Milroe’s pro day and 40 time were completely expected by anyone that has actually watched him.

I like him, and would honestly consider him in the 2nd bc the traits are so loud but he has a looooooomg way to go as a passer.

But people said the same thing about guys like Lamar, Allen and A Rich.
