Milton reasons why the trade to the Cowboys was a blessing

I can't think of anything he can learn from Dak? Maybe how to take advantage of an old man for money? I don't know.
Saying the right thing...and learning the playbook. Dak apparently has a photographic memory...but too bad defenses don't play in snapshots.

But again..that's kind QB 101 so...

I don’t have a problem with any of that, just honest answers.

He left out Texas has beautiful women!

He’s not going to like the Texas heat though.

Oh boy......here we go (LOL)
I appreciate player honesty and being themselves. I personally don't have a problem with this but understand how/why many fans will process it differently but I'm pretty sure, like most players, Milton doesn't care.

How much did Dak pay him to say that??

Or be the typical one read and bolt running QB who never finds long term success in the NFL
You’re probably thinking of Lance, or maybe Dak early in his career.
If you actually watch the film from his game against Buffalo, it’s clear he’s not a one-read quarterback and he’s definitely not inaccurate.

So I’m not sure where you’re getting that information.

lol not shocked you are saying this is ok.

Basically saying.

I don’t like being cold. I don’t want to work hard. I don’t want the grind.

He came to the perfect place.

What’s awesome is if this team makes the playoffs. Most teams Cowboys would play are outdoors, in January.

Ummm. Are you basing this off of the one game he started in the NFL against scrubs?

Come on dude. I’m as happy as heck with Milton or I was before these comments but let’s not act like he’s the second coming here.

Milton was most likely destined to be a career backup in NE. Assuming he holds his presumptive #2 position in Dallas, he has a great shot of seeing significant playing time if, as odds suggest, Dak misses multiple games this season.

And, let's face it, who wants to play for a rebuilding team - pinning their future on a different young QB - in frigid Foxboro, Mass. (+ twice in BUF) all winter?

The move to Dallas was an absolute no-brainer for Milton.

I don't see anything wrong in what he said. I wish him well.
well, 4th point? Learn what exactly? LOL. His answers were "fair weather" answers, I would have liked him to say "If our QB goes down, I know I can carry this team on my shoulders". At least he'll be comfortable in his new surroundings I guess, lol.

And possibly no warrants in Texas.

I never said he's the 2nd coming. I was saying all along he could take over for Dak if he ever gets injured. No said anything about a 2nd coming.

I see the Milton hate is starting early. Why not get a jump start, I guess. I mean, the last thing you would want is a QB to feel is comfortable. It would be much better for team success if we played in horrid weather for 17 games and let pass rushers have a free run at him every down. That would make him really uncomfortable and would surely help us to a Superbowl.

Makes total sense.

(I also notice people forgot to mention that playing QB for the Cowboys is inviting more pressure than any player in any position in American sports)

Maybe, just maybe, we can all just take a breath and not create issues where they don't exist yet.

Nah...didn't think so. Welcome to the Fan Zone. Where nothing any Cowboys employee says or does is ever safe from loathing.

The tone suggests a player looking to avoid the grind of what it takes to be the best NFL player he can be.
Lol. Really? Because he likes warm weather and flashed the “America’s Team” moniker? That makes him ‘a player looking to avoid the grind’?

Ok…

No but you’re making him seem like something he isn’t. Yet. Don’t use one game against backups as a measuring stick.

He seems to be a good guy. Im a Vols fan and am well aware of Milton. He has a cannon for an arm and is a quick elusive runner.
The issue is his accuracy and decision-making. He became the starter at Tennessee after transferring from Michigan. Turnovers and inaccuracy issues caused him to be benched in favor of Hendon Hooker.
After Hooker graduated Milton became the starter again but never grasped the fast paced big play offense like Hendon had done.
Joe has the physical tools but has yet to show he can be an elite or even above avg starter in college or the NFL.

He has looked really good in the NFL.

That and the NE coaches didn’t want Drake Maye looking over his shoulder.

All reports last training camp was Milton was better.

He made some freakish plays in his 1 regular season game he got.

The GM did not want to get rid of him but the coaching staff basically insisted.
