That all works. Ultimately the cost was not all that high, but they DO need to have some sort of if/then flowchart type plan, and I’m having a tough time believing that they actually do.
I’d say best case is Dak goes down for 3-5 games, this season or next, Milton gets a shot to show what he can do, plays well, then maybe approach Prescott about a different direction for each side, which also depends on Prescott showing he can still play with the hammy, and very likely Dallas eating some salary.
Bear in mind this pretty much takes us out of acquiring another developmental guy along the way, but I guess that’s ok. He has skills no doubt.
