Milton would be exciting to watch if Dak were gone

wearing a ball cap and a whistle around his neck?
I could be wrong after all these years watching the NFL, but I have never, ever seen a GM in his luxury booth at a game with the play sheet in his hands like Jerra does!

If Joe Milton was a legitimate candidate to be a longterm franchise quarterback, he wouldn’t have been available in the 6th round, and then again for a 5th round comp pick.
Wasn't Tom Brady a 6th or 7th rounder?

good to see you. I was afraid maybe you got booted a few days ago.
:lmao:

There is a way, if Dak goes down with an injury that sidelines him, he may be up next! The key is, is he good enough to beat out Grier!!!???
Milton is the real deal.
However, he had a major knee injury his last year at Tennessee.
But the guy has a cannon, there's no doubt.
Reminds me of Doug Williams.

Similarly to all the other backups we’ve seen roll through here over the years we will know who has it and who doesn’t after PS football. Romo and Dak shined in those and if Milton has it he will too.

Milton is already swimming around inside Dak's head. That's all he needs. This will be over quick.
The Cowboys have a chance to build back the team, but to do it they would have to cut Dak immediately.
As long as Dak is able to work Jerry and the media, Milton will be an afterthought.
Now is the time to make the move. Jerry needs to get rid of Dak now if he wants the Cowboys to have any respectability next season.

Joe Milton is a legitimate candidate to be a long-term franchise quarterback.

There could be hope for the Cowboys franchise if they finish the job.

However, Dak Prescott remains entrenched as the Cowboys starter. Not because he's earned it, but because he's got that huge contract. One thing we know about Jerry is that he will play the higher paid player, regardless if it is best for the team or not.
There is no way Joe Milton can succeed as long as Dak is still on the team. Even if Dak were injured, he would be returning to the starting spot as soon as he is healthy.
Jerry isn't about to admit to his mistake.
he is more of an athlete for sure. not sure about his accuracy in throwing the ball. he looked better in NE than in college with his accuracy. i saw a tenn game a few years ago he was throwing an out route and threw the ball in the stands. guy was wide open

Dak will not want to even warm up around Milton. It will be embarrassing to him.
The difference will be staggering.
Milton stands calmly in the pocket and then throws a laser.
Dak will look like just an average guy if he stands next to Milton. It will stand out to everyone watching.

They had Milton, his name was Trey Lance. They have almost the same scouting reports like inaccuracy and poor at reading defenses. Lance is a better runner while Milton has a bit better arm. Tap the brakes……

comments like these from cowboys fans reek of desparation..... desparation for 30 years. everyone already has the annointing oil. just like Romo, folks defended him hard and they were detractors and they became happy when romo was gone, then some folks switched sides about Dak and not same exact thing will happen to Milton and people will stats out of thin air to justify why and why not.

as long as Jerry and Stephen are owners of the cowboys, no QB, including Mahomes would succeed in dallas. period.

This. It’s that simple.

We all want better play at QB but Joe Milton is a backup QB who has some upside in ways Cooper Rush never did. He has a looooong way to go to be seen as a starting QB.

Glad we have him as a developmental project. But the hype about him being our “future” is simply “desperate hope”.
