BTW, I happen to like Mahomes' contract. I think the structure of it gives the team a lot of leeway that they've used over the years with restructures. I wish Dak would have agreed to such a deal (don't know if one like it was even offered) because it provides a whole lot more play for the team. It doesn't mean that Mahomes is underpaid. The guaranteed money has made sure he's gotten his. It just allows structure to move money around as needed.

I would have been very happy with the contract the Eagles gave to Hurts if I was an Eagle fan and I thought that at the time before he won a Superbowl. I want a mobile quarterback in the modern game. I was championing the case for the Cowboys to draft him in the 2nd round and takeover from Dak (I stated the same in the draft thread from that season on this forum).

If I was a 49ers fan I would absolutely hate the contract handed out to Purdy and this guarantees they will do absolutely nothing for the foreseeable future.

Completely agree regarding the construction and all round value of the Mahomes contract for all parties.
