Mina Kimes: According to NextGenStats , only 2 of Dallas' 20 four man rushes got pressure tonight

Coming into this season, this was my biggest concern. With Ez and Gary as starters, we won't be able to generate a rush without blitzing. Lawrence is a raw rookie and Miller is a hundred years old. We don't have pass rushers.

Trading Parsons was an absolutely braindead decision this defence still hasn't recovered from.

Big hit for the "we don't need a 10+ sack guy as pressure will come from all over" crowd. You always want to add quality players....always. The evidence from last night suggests we are wasting Q the same way we wasted Micah by not having a legitimate complementary player along the DL.

Remember a few years ago when DQ had this defense leading the league in turnovers every year and at or near the top in pressure and finishing no worse than 7th in points allowed.

People really hated that guy cuz Dak couldn't get over the hump with those defenses and someone had to take the blame.

Yea but Parsons was a big reason why we couldn't stop the ru....
Wait, can't do that either, even with Williams and Clark in the middle.

Pass rush by committee they said.
Edge rushers don’t win championships they said.
Seattle did it with dockworkers they said.

Lol that's because they had them dropping in coverage!!! I kept seeing them go out I'm like what the hell

I loved quinn

But his defense was also an issue in big games

But i would take him back immediatly

It fell short at times, but at least it seemed like he had a competent gameplan if the offense did it's job as well.

I can't recall the last time this team was good at stopping the run. Phillips? Parcells? Jimmy?

Just another reminder of how the “GM” has zero clue in building a winner. They make miner moves like, Gary, then act like they have a contender and fixed everything.

Yep. And every developmental player will take the next step, and every injured player will return to form lol

JJ deploys hope as a strategy on a regular basis lol

Quinn sucked he just had Micah

We were never going to get much pressure when Dart was just gonna unload the ball in the flats repeatedly.

Not that pressure isnt an issue, but I don't recall Dart holding the ball for long. He also made really good decisions and ran when he needed too.

Dart and Scat are a problem. Unfortunately for them I don't see either being around too long. They are reckless and Dart isnt big enough for his play style.

This is why you don't run a 5-man front.

It's a scheme that doesn't work, which is why nobody uses it anymore

It is also true that the ball consistently came out quick, but that's because this defense doesn't have any corners.

It's a coward's scheme - terrified to generate pressure because they are terrified of giving up a big play

Yeah that made no sense. Brought Von Miller in for his 1st play and it was coverage. And it continued throughout the night with (at least) EZE.

Letting the 3 or 4 guys we have that are actually capable of rushing the QB do just that doesn’t seem like rocket science

Crazy that 1 person made that much of a difference... Probably be a good idea to get our hands on a player like that
Hear me out. Drag out the contract talks. Try to exclude his agent, then act all pissy and trade him a week before the season starts.
