Jess Haynie, Blogging The Boys

Second-round pick Marshawn Kneeland is yet another rookie that’s quickly adjusting to game speed in the NFL.

Kneeland’s Ready to Go
Since the draft, a lot of attention has been paid to Dallas’ new offensive linemen Tyler Guyton and Cooper Beebe. But the guy drafted between them, DE Marshawn Kneeland, is having himself a preseason. On a night when All-Pro Maxx Crosby should’ve looked like a man among boys, it was Kneeland who terrorized his blockers and looks ready to be a key rotation piece for the Cowboys in the regular season.
Even back in April, Kneeland’s scouting report reminded you of DeMarcus Lawrence. He certainly is doing that now as a ferocious run defender. Like Tank, Kneeland still needs to grow as a pass rusher but the potential is there. His strength alone will win matchups against some and additional technique will only raise his threat level.
With Sam Williams out for the year and a huge question mark still hovering over veteran signing Carl Lawson, the Cowboys need Kneeland to deliver early. Thankfully, his work so far this preseason indicates he’s ahead of schedule and should be a solid rookie contributor.

R J Ocha is out in left field. His rants about our kicker last year are classic.
Yes his tweets are driving me crazy to a point where I think I might have to block him because just saying things to say them like for shock value and for click me is seem to be the norm for a lot of these damn content creators now

Please don't say this. Don't you know we have to wait 2-3 years to compliment a player?
But it only takes 2-3 minutes to destroy them after they're drafted and say they all suck and it's a reach and what is this front office doing 'cause I don't know what they're doing and they did nothing in the offseason to improve the team and then we get through training camp in a couple preseason games and all of a sudden some of that narrative has to have changed and here it is changing... They may not go after the top free agents the way people want they may not make any shiny new additions but they do eventually before the season starts once you see with the draft picks and some of the additions make and then they make some new additions whether it be small trades or things like that then all of a sudden it looks like we have a solid team..

Honestly, I think he is exactly what they ordered ........solid run defender who gives ya 8-10 sacks a year. In other words, they didn't draft him to be a pass rush specialist. This kid will a be 7-8 year starter.
Um, 8-10 sacks a year would be HOF incredible, not average as you seem to be suggesting

Mina is about the only ESPN employee that I like and have respect for these days. She knows what she’s talking about, uses data to back-up what she says, and seems about as impartial as you’ll find on TV anywhere.

It’s the opposite. I remember she said something positive about a certain player on this team I won’t name and half of the thread was how she knows nothing and doesnt know what she’s talking about.

She’s not the type to really post negative stuff.

Who could dak be? Hmmm.
