Hell yeah, LT can throw passes, look at his stats. But i know what you mean no he wouldn't be a good QB.

Now look at Brees this season....So you would be stuck with Brees just as LT is getting fired up...

Well, i'm gone for the rest of the night. You guys can do a circle jerk with Romo in this thread and i will respond tomorrow.

Don't go away mad...just go away!

So last year, if you were the saints, you wouldn't have traded Drew Brees for LT?

Brees had a better rating than Romo.

Now way in hell would I trade away a probowl QB unless I had ANOTHER probowl QB on the roster.

How freakin' DUMB can a person be?

If you're asking the Vikings fan, ignore my vote, but I'm choosing Tom Brady every single day and twice on Sunday.

AD has played 6 games. He is one more broken clavicle away from selling real estate. He was injured just about every year in college and that's why he dropped. RBs have a short shelf life in general. AD hasn't proven any more(less IMHO) than Romo has. Both look to have franchise ability and with that said, you ALWAYS go with the QB. RBs are a dime a dozen. Ya think the Colts won the SB because of Addai? Maybe the Pats won the SB after the 2004 season because of Corey Dillon? Really just a dumb homer argument. Obviously we have a Queens fan in our midst.

Don't compare Manning and Romo, it makes you look stupid.

Chances are, given the contract situations and cap hits, as well as other factors (such as depth on the roster and supporting talent), nobody would make the trade (the Vikings wouldn't want a QB looking for a huge payday after such a short body of work and the Cowboys already have two decent [but not great] RBs, whereas a third would cause a lot of problems and confuse an already good rotation). However, if you put up Romo and AD in the FA block in 08, said both of them want the exact same terms on their contracts, I think Dallas would go after Peterson first (Julius is leaving and that would set the position for a decade or so and Jerry could pick up a top flight QB by trading up or depending where Cleveland falls, that pick) and the Vikings would go after Romo (Jackson isn't going to cut it and Romo is provides more stability and they already have Chester Taylor, who is a good RB in his own right).

Now if the question is asked in a vacuum (ie, both are FAs and you are starting an expansion franchise), I think Peterson would be the smarter pick. Romo wants elite money (and for a QB, that's a lot more) and is a bit older. You would get your choice of QBs in the draft. But that's just me.

I stopped reading right there.

Just a purely dumb post.

The Vikings know you have to play the QB. Period. If they had a chance to trade for a YOUNG qb not even in his prime yet, they'd do it. Period.

Tom Brady, without a doubt. But you're asking if you'd chose a still unproven RB vs. a proven 3-time super bowl winner (ask the same question with Brady or Romo, anybody who says Romo is insane). The correct question would be would you choose Romo or Peterson. Or Peterson or Rivers?

Okay genius, what was Peterson's contract like? $17M in signing bonuses. So, the Vikings would get that accelerated to hit the cap. Now they are down a crapload of cap money on the cap next year and now have to sign a guy that wants, last time I heard, $30M in bonuses. Not a great trade for the Vikings from a purely cap standpoint.

Cowboys wouldn't want to do that trade because they are short a player Jerry said he was going to pay and now have Brad Johnson at QB to throw to TO, who isn't going to be in the league for that much longer (can't wait for a rookie to develop basically). And they get Adrain Peterson (who is much better than either RB) but you aren't hurting at RB. Stupid trade for either side.

No sense in flaming over something that will not happen. Peterson is staying in Minn, Romo is staying in Dallas, period.
