I like sports that hit too...doesn't make it smart.

If you spent years doing it, I'll be curious to see how your brain is working when you are in your late 50s to mid 60s. I don't like the odds, but wish you well.

I've already clarified. If that isn't good enough, then deal with it.

who is being cruel? How can a sport(both sports) where everybody voluntarily participate be cruel? And how do you not know that when we are talking about each sport being barbaric that we are talking about the brutality of the sports and not the cruelty of actual barbarians?
