I thought about it. Getting him would have been great...but I like dodging this with farm kids and prospects.

AROD, CC, Ellsbury come off the books.

May take a year or two extra to win... but it will be more gratifying.

Well, think about it this way Blue, if we would have signed him he would not have been around for the Astros to sign. That probably means we are in the WS. I don't like Verlander, mostly because he has been really tough on us over the years. Having said that, I give him his due. He is a great pitcher.
