Pirates & Cubs only have 5 wins each. Mets have 7. Royals are 10-12.

Prob more significant to see how the teams do from this point on as we get closer to Opening Day.

Yeah, of course. Things won't be the same for many teams as they are now, but of course the ST record is a preloud of things to come.

in the AL East any of those teams could challenge for the division title. I don't see any 95 win clubs. Or any of the 3 (or maybe all of them) could be .500 clubs or worse.

KC is going to regress.

The Dodgers are having all sorts of rotation-injury issues.

Luv to see the Cubs crash & burn... but if they don't win their division that will be a major blow.

Rangers have been around since 1961 with absolutely 0 championships. We are so hard on the Cowboys fit not winning anything in 20 lol

I bet the Rangers won't win a championship before 2070 that's sad since there isn't a salary cap. Also, they need to put up a dome stadium.

WPB, I'm holding out for SS Swanson with the Braves. Funny, they'll lose 90 games this season, and improve.

The Braves have one of my guys and didnt seem to want to trade him. Maybe kinda odd since he doesnt really fit a rebuilding team . . .

AJ Reed hit's an "Inside the park" HR off Matt Harvey and Cepedes is an idiot...

http://www.crawfishboxes.com/2016/3...hits-inside-the-park-home-run-off-matt-harvey

Watching that video, . . . . . . . . . . . . . . mind boggling. I dont know if Cespedes is an idiot, but that play was idiotic. His home park too. I know its just ST, but you would think that a player would know the ground rules at his home park. I cant think of any ground rules that would cause him to just stand there looking at the ball. No ivy on the wall. Its not like the ball was stuck under the wall padding.

And what was even worse was Terry Collins actually trying to defend Cespedes... I mean... really? The umpire had to "unstick" the ball or some such nonsense... No, the umpire simply had to pick up the ball Terry.

It just made him look like a moron.

I was wondering what the manager was doing but I guess he figured he may as well plead his case and see what would happen. I cant think of any plays in the past I would put on par with this one. Different but maybe as ridiculous as the ball bouncing off of Jose Canseco's head and then over the wall.

In the battle for the Astros 1st base job...

John Singleton 48AB .125AVG 2HR 17K .468OPS
AJ Reed 40AB .275AVG 2HR 13K .827OPS
Tyler White 41AB .366AVG 2HR 8K 1.045OPS

The fight is pretty much over with.

Singleton & Reed will go down to Fresno (AAA) and will split 1B/DH duties.

White should make the club... And if he is the regular 1st baseman, you're looking at a ROY candidate. He doesn't offer much in the way of defense but the guy is a "professional" hitter. I think he's good for a .280 average as a rookie with 15-20 HR's and an OBP of .360 to .380.

As a hitter reminds of former Astros 1st baseman Bob Watson, who was a "professional" hitter.

Looking at the numbers its over with. ST success doesnt always carry over into the regular season tho. But it looks like he did everything he could to win the job. Couldnt ask for any more.

Joey Rickard might have won himself the LF job in Baltimore

20 for 51 batting .392, OBP .475 & OPS 1.043 with 5 SB & 7 RBI

Good defender and could fill the leadoff role getting some speed on the bases ahead of the bashers.

Hopefully Tampa regrets it all year leaving this guy unprotected.

The Astros have sent down 1st baseman John Singleton and AJ Reed.

Former 33rd draft pick Tyler White has earned himself the job!
