Ohtani looks like he isn't ready for the majors. Mound height adjustment and the ball itself have been mentioned as factors. He needs to spend some time in AA (not AAA, too hitter friendly) but how bad would that look PR-wise? They promised this guy the world and he isn't ready.

Oh well, Halos bought a first round pick, we'll see what happens. Definitely not looking like a Darvish-type hit, atm.

The loot the Angels got from the Braves may turn out to be more fruitful.

yeah everyone got caught up in the hype. he's got alot to adjust to. he's never seen some of the stuff as a batter that's frozen him. those power curves for strike outs don't exist much in japan. im sure he'll adjust with the work and time.
