MM needs to bring back the screen game

Screen game??? What's that? Sorry, I've been a Cowboys fan for years, so I kinda got used to not having a screen game. LOL
You know it has been used, but just not effectively, by no measure, and when it actually worked it was never taken advantage of.

There is a timing and rhythm to a screen pass. You don't want to go too fast and you don't want to take too long. When Dallas has run it recently, the timing is just terrible. It looks like they never practiced it and whomever was in charge couldn't teach it.

Dating myself but man those screen passes to Dorsett were beautiful.

They were and you are correct, the screen requires TEs that can catch and block in order to disguise and set up a defensive set in order to execute effectively.
RBs with hands and elusiveness coming out of the backfield.
We may have that now, we will soon see.

Yep, and we appear to want a mobile LG that can assist in a zonal game (not wanting Torrence, nor by the looks of it Risner)....all of this and as you say a TE that's capable of both aspects of the position (more allround backfield) certainly makes the screen play more feasible.

If this OL can be a mobile zone with pulling guards and play physical as well with our tackles, than this OL can transcend to what MMs scheme requires.
The pieces are all in place, it's all up to the coaches at this point.
