Rest everyone significant to our success if Eagles win this week. You are out of your mind if you believe otherwise.

If a CeeDee Lamb gets an ankle sprain playing for nothing in week 18 vs the Commanders, I want your heads.

If you say otherwise, you’re against the team’s best interest for some archaic bravado, or other irrationality.

I understand why, but I'd hate for this to be week 1 all over again. This team also has a habit of slow starts as well, and playoff teams may not let you get away with that.

Remember when they were blaming our bad play in Week 1 on them not playing in the preseason?

How quickly they forget that the weak approach is the loser approach.

Yeah but they never got roasted on the official radio station of the cowboys by Shan and Rj.

You rest them I guarantee you they come out flat in first Wild Card game. I'd let them play a half in week 18 as long as they are playing well. If they're garbage in week 18 then they play until they get their act together. Micah or any guys with injuries of course should sit.

Just beat the Commanders.....I live in the DMV.....don't need to hear the noise from their fans.

What's the difference between rest and a bye week?
Bye week you are forced to not play. You earned the right to play at home following a bye week. If I have a game on the schedule I treat it as a playoff game. The playoffs started two weeks ago for this team. And if I come out a little sluggish like I did just a few days ago against the Titans? Naw….I want my team playing when they have to play.

Whoever is for sitting the players I don't want to see any complaints if they come out slow or look sluggish in the Wild Card games.

I'm telling you now.

Resting the starters with a group of guys that's never made a playoff run is a mistake.

And MM teams are notorious for coming out slow when they are rested.

McCarthy is str8 garbage motivating his teams coming off bye or when he talks about resting players.

If there is nothing to be gained, you rest your players for the next meaningful game. It's not so much rest, it is injury mitigation. It's not rocket science.

There is a difference between heading into week one with no significant football in eight months and giving some guys who have been grinding for four months a week off to heal a little bit. Guys like Pasons, Martin, Zeke, Lawrence, Kearse, Diggs, Armstrong, LVE, etc., should all be given the Commanders game off if the Eagles win today. The back ups can use some work as a well going into the playoffs. Have guys like Dak, Schultz, Lamb, a take couple of series to stay tuned up and give their back ups a good 2-4 Qs of football to play.

You complained they played poorly vs Tennessee. They are a tired and beat up group. Nobody is rusty in week 18-19. But some definitely are tired and beat up. Give me the rest over repetition any day.

Also if any of our key starters got hurt or injured in a meaningless game against the Commanders, then the same ones on this forum who are always negative about the Cowboys, would complain and be demanding for McCarthy to be fired for playing starters in a game which doesn't decide anything as far as the Cowboys are concerned.

Not a fan of resting players and no respectable Cowboys fan should be either. Micah is the one guy I may make the exception for if he’s hurt.

It's funny because I never have a rust concern when we have our bye week in the regular season, but it merits consideration for a playoff game.

I personally don't think a team should be rusty coming off one week of rest. It's not an extended enough period of time to mess up timing or muscle memory imo. That said we have looked like trash following rest.

I am completely against more than a week of rest though. Maybe we play the starters more like an old school pre-season game and give them a quarter. I do believe these guys are dinged up enough to benefit from rest.

We beat the Bears by 20….play a Packers team who lost 4 straight after our bye just to get beat by them lol. I do agree in theory a week rest shouldn’t make you rusty. I don’t know what it is. I don’t know if it’s mental or what. I’ve just seen us rest for preseason and come off bye weeks not on point.

Can't rest all the starters anyway, doesn't matter what the Eagles do. Starters are playing.

i dont even want Nashon Wright and Malik Davis playing
Definitely rest Nashon. Start Bossmanfat and let him give up all the TDS and penalties to his heart’s content lol

Prepare as if it’s a playoff game. Everyone starts. If the filthy game gets out of hand start pulling key guys like Micah, Dak, Lamb, etc.. But the key is to prepare this week as if it’s a playoff game to keep everyone sharp.

You guarantee they come out flat if we could rest players? With that rationale we should purposely lose this week so we can't get the bye seed.
