Lombardi was in complete control of the roster in GB and it worked. He struggled at Washington but he was older then. I think Bill Belichick would not work with Jerry Jones either. I do not think he would put up with Jones incompetence.
Exactly
No way any real HC comes here under these conditions

How many more games like this one can our head coach have before he is terminates??? He was not in a comfortable place before today. I would think that he is about one more bad beat down from being Cowboy history. And who would Jones replace him with as interim coach?
I think big Mike's job is in jeopardy.

Al Harris is the coach entering the bye week.
I think so too, especially considering Zimmer getting outcoached badly today.

Who knew that guys who the entire NFL said no thanks to the last two years are not top-caliber Defensive Coordinators in the league?

He won't.

Jerry needs scapegoats and the new contract to Dak means McCarthy is doomed.

Especially since McCarthy offers nothing. He was exposed badly in Dallas. I doubt he gets an NFL Head Coach job again.

Lol. Blaming Big Mike. Never mind the 30 years of BS. It’s Mike’s fault.
I get it, Do you see any ingenuity in this offense? And really this is not just this game because last week outside of a couple possessions it was stagnant and stale as well. I am seeing a basic offense.
As for defense, this team came out with low energy as if they already had the game in hand. Playing with low energy, and with no heart.

Now saying that, I am not saying get rid of him, way too early for that. just stating what I am seeing.

This seems to be a common thread with team no matter who is coaching. Outside of selling the team and firing all coaches to start over, seems like it will continue

Zimmer? he’ll probably take over regardless
Zimmer is the safe and easy choice as Interim HC. Al Harris would be the better move. The players will actually respond.

I think Jerry already knows Belichick is the answer. It's the typical, lazy Jerry move. Harris will get the token interview and Belichick will be the hire, with the Jones "suggesting" he keeps Harris.

See also Wade being assigned Jason Garrett and McCarthy being assigned Kellen Moore.

Pray like hell Josh McDaniel doesn't come with Belichick.

It's going to be ugly and there's no rebuilding this time since the genius has a QB at 60M/yr.
By 2026 the salary cap is expected to increase by $40 million from where it is now. The Cowboys can rebuild anytime they want by just dumping everyone, screwing the cap for a year, and being awful enough to draft in the top five.

But they won't do that because the Jones Boys are content with just being relevant. This is still a nine or ten win team that will be talked about in December. Which is all that matters to ownership.

Lots of problems with the offense.

The play calling is too simple. Everyone knows our run plays too.

DCs have studied us.

The problem here is thar Dak got all kinds of guaranteed money. So there's no dumping anything. This team is going to be just like the Vikings, paying Cousins to not make the playoffs.

JJ didn't suit up today. Everyone was beaming about how well the defense performed last week. The Cowboys may have been too bruised up to play today with all the backing slapping that went on this week after the Cleveland beatdown. It's mind boggling with the so-called talent that is on this team and they come out and crap all down their legs when the street bullies show up. Did the linebackers suit up today????????? Also, just how slow is our secondary???? As for the running backs, pick ONE and call it a day!

The team is 1-1 and we already know they aren't making the playoffs for the next four years?

Dak's guaranteed money can be kicked down the road for as long as the Cowboys want. When the year comes for the rebuild, they can just eat his salary and destroy the cap. Because at that point, who cares if you are tanking?

Didn’t suit up but he sure is the common denominator of this 30 years garbage run.
