Brady vs Prescott a bigger story .
Ya, but the NFL needs new stars to prop up. A matchup between 2 of the best young QBs in the NFL on two of NFL signiture franchises helps the NFL move on from all the aging QBs like Brady, Rothlisberger, Eli, Bree's ect. They need new blood

I refuse to have a legitimate discussion over the radical shift the league took in the 90's when they implemented a salary cap to create parity.

If you don't see it, that's your problem.
Its not just cap ( although that is monumental) its also the 4 franchises they added in a 5 year span.

Yes, new blood is always welcomed but Brady is still the biggest name in the NFL.

Raiders aren't relevant anymore . They're fixing to run away to Vegas.

Even moving they are still one of the NFL's storied franchises. Plus it would a great way to entrench them in that market presenting a championship caliber team.

Brady is done soon and the NFL needs new marketabke QBs

We had Parity before the Cap with Equal TV Revenue . And how small market teams like Green Bay and Pittsburgh were able to build Dynasty's.

The Cap just watered down the talent pool with cream still at the top but less under the hood in depth. It basically was put in place as a built in forced discipline for owners to control their spending .

It has lessened the quality of football being played as we continue to see throughout the league. All for what?

I could care less about marketable QB's. I want to see the best play in February . And I'm betting The Pats and Brady still are.

I remember the Cowboys going to play the then (San Francisco 49ers) equivalent of the Patriots of today, we marched in and took down the big bad wolf. If we make it to the Super Bowl, I want New England.
And there was no way we could beat the 49ers then. Steve Young and Jerry Rice were going to carve us up, the Cowboys were a year away....

And then all of a sudden they weren't.

If the Raiders can beat Brady and the Pats then they'll be deserving but personally I'd rather see Brady continue his quest to be the winniest QB in NFL history. How can there be a bigger story than that?

And Im talking about the NFL, not my personal preference
And you don't think Brady playing in his 7th Super Bowl going for his record 5th World Championship against the Cowboys wouldn't generate more revenue for the NFL than Carr and the Raiders?

Probably would right now, but the NFL needs new QBs to market. After years of horrible QB drafts, there elite signal callers are all aging most of the championship caliber signal callers will be gone in 2 years. They NFL needs new champions. Long term I just see the NFL as bettee served with a Cowboys/Raiders Super Bowl

The NFL needs new champions? You think that sells more than proven champions?

We're we saying that in the 70's when Steelers and Cowboys win 6 of the 10 Super Bowls? Or when the Cowboys and 49ers played 4 straight championship games? No, the current champions sell more.

Proven champions that will be gone in 2 years

Respectfully, me and you are arguing apples to oranges. Your looking at what is best for the NFL in 2016/2017. Im looking at whats best for the NFL long term. IMO neither of us are really wrong

Your shifting the argument now. We won't know what's best for the NFL a couple years down the road until we get there but generally proven teams or QB's sell more than upstarts initially.

Also, take note that if Romo leads us to the Super Bowl how will that impact this new blood with a 36 year old QB taking on a 38 year old QB in what would probably be the highest rated SB in NFL history.
