MMQB: Stephen Jones nugget

You were too passive last year and are trying to make up for it this year. We can see what you’re doing, it’s obvious. Our gm overestimated how good the roster was last year
What?

They were all in on making sure MM had a losing season, so they could let him walk with
no objections from fans.
They could not do that if MM went 12-5 again.
Do more with less lol , it was sabotage.
And they were all in on not giving Lance a chance to prove himself when it would have been a wind wind proposition if he lost all the games we draft better if he won and look good then we didn't squander a fourth round draft pick.
As it was they were all in on wasting a fourth round pick

Awesome post. Let's not forget...they wanted to bring McCarthy back! Now after a clear bungled 2024 - we could easily have had Jeanty on the team if we played Lance and lost - we're supposed to believe this is some well-oiled machine. Americans love to believe we are uber-sophisticated and play 4-dimensional chess...whilst being duped by carnival barkers and con-men.
Making that up for a musical? This team is now set to play...

No way to do the wrong thing. Biased just potential stereotype isn't doing the right thing.

Some may also be waiting for a new Pope. Solve that one your doubting way?

I will not lie, steal, cheat, or support those who do. Ethics.

Pessimistic...the Pope might be an Oriental Monk. Think?
You're going off on tangents that have little or nothing to do with the conversations at hand. Many people say and do things that benefit their purposes, with little regard for the welfare of others. Eventually those who see what their intentions are, tend to mistrust them in the long run. If they say and do things to benefit their bank accounts rather than be truthful, they eventually lose credibility.
This is how many have come to view Jerry and Stephen Jones, much to the dismay of some.

No Sir, you are exhibiting bias and I definitely spoke English. I entered no lies on facts. Admit you are still biased on any topic concerning management, whether doing right this season or not.

Get this, I'm not kissing up to even implying the tune. I'm already looking forward without blame.:flagwave:

You were overruled in a sidebar...the team won't lose due to Jerry or Stephen.

Not current blame stinks.

NFL Takeaways: Why the Cowboys Are Done With the Term ‘All In’

Dallas COO Stephen Jones discusses the George Pickens trade. Plus, notes on Derek Carr’s retirement, Bill Belichick’s search for PR help, the Browns’ QB competition and more.

Dallas Cowboys

I think the Dallas Cowboys are done with the term “all in.” And it’s certainly not because they aren’t in that mindset. More so, I got the sense, after talking to Dallas COO Stephen Jones late Friday morning, it’s even the idea they wouldn’t be for the season ahead.

Jones knows why it keeps coming up, a year after his father, Jerry Jones, used the term. He just doesn’t see how they wouldn’t be.

“I don’t buy into all that. Name one person that isn’t all in,” Jones said. “I’d hate the fans to hear their owner say that people aren’t all in, when you’re competing in the NFL … I mean, it’s kind of a joke. Every year we line up, we’re moving our chips in.”
Moving your chips in you say?

Maybe Lays chips because if you are talking about spending money on outside help, this team is the lowest spending team in the NFL in FA. LOL.

So, he doesn't know why his dad made the comment?

Perhaps it was to try to pump life into the fan base that their less than "all in" approach for the last three decades has decimated. Maybe papa can explain marketing to him.

The 2 teams in our division just went to the NFC Championship game - something we haven't done in 30 years. The Commanders did it with a rookie QB and the Eagles seem to be there every other year.

But now that you've told me that the Cowboys are "set to play" ...I believe!!! Dak is gonna magically become a clutch QB and all the other teams will get worse and just let us beat them!

There is still plenty of cap that can be used for 6 strong veterans...look again.

No magic to it and plenty of parts fitting together now. I'm not dissing the make-up of the staff or team. Are you?

I can name two people who are not all in. Jerry and Stephen Jones. All in means doing everything possible to win a Super Bowl. That means a willingness to sign top tier free agents in positions of need. It means signing you best defensive player instead of dragging out his extension and sending mixed signals.

The Cowboys are "all in, within limits". It is not the same as other teams going all in.
For Jerry, it just meant they were going to spend whatever it takes on their own free agents, and they did that with Dak and Lamb, making them among the highest-paid at their positions. His problem is that I truly think he believed that was enough, which is one of the reasons he should not be GM of an NFL team.

That's what he does. Best to just speed by anything he says.

They are all over the map with everything.

What they pulled last off-season made no sense whatsoever.

Is Jerry really that petty to where he would throw away a season at 82 years old just to set MM up to fail? Probably.

They let him and the staff be lame ducks, which is a common no-no in pro sports, but genius motivator Jerry said people “do their best work with their back to the wall.” Great Jerry, but no one’s back was to the wall, and in the end they didn’t have the horses.

“I want to see what Ezekiel Elliott can do as RB1.”

This is an NFL GM talking.

Then they suddenly wanted MM back but he probably either asked for the moon or mooned him. Possibly both.

There’s no plan. Not even sure if it’s season to season, it’s just impulse collection of players and coaches that they think they got a deal on, then blame the help when it all goes wrong, and act as if there’s no possible way it’s on them.

There hasnt been a plan since Jimmy had a plan. And if Jerry, or any of your yes men, are reading...own it. You cant do it. The 30 years of playing Madden GM are over.

You suck as an owner as well. How many owners would keep a hack, loser as a GM for 30 years? You make money because of what Tom Landry, Tex Schram and the Americas team personna created.

Us loyal fans arent just pissed because you are incompetent. We are pissed because you have destroyed a legacy. America is going down the toilet and Americas team is a flush away.

Sorry, but it bothers me. I do bleed Red, White and BLUE. But we cant bleed out. Otherwise its over.
